Sept 2011 bandsters

Oh really? Yeah I'm glad he does give fills at 4 weeks. I have to be on liquids for the rest of the evening (appt was 2:25). I do feel restriction already. I had some creamy potato Soup for dinner and I could tell a difference right away-pressure feeling in my chest. Not nauseous or vomiting just pressure. I was full at almost a cup of soup. Good luck with you. -

Banded on 9/19 and had my first fill today....not too bad. There was some discomfort while the doctor poked around with his finger locating the port, but really the shot didn't hurt. I'm really looking forward to more restriction. Did anyone else experience discomfort or pain during their first or subsequent fills? -

Oops forgot to say I was banded 9/19. I've been experiencing some port area pain like other folks. My port is on my right-front side slightly below where the band of my bra stops but my incision is lower a few inches above my belly button. I had a little scare the other day b/c I noticed that my port incision was a dark pink and there was a colorless whelp shape around the incision. I called my surgeons office and they had me come in the next morning to check it out. Nurse said it's not infected but to keep an eye on it. Has anyone experience a whelp or hive shaped area around their port incision? -

I was banded on 9/19 and had my 1 week follow-up on 9/26. I'm sooooo freakin happy to be able to eat soup!! If anyone has a Trader Joe's or World Market around them, they have some awesome blended soups. My fav even before the surgery is the Organic Tomato & Roasted Red Pepper, then there's the Creamy Corn & Roasted Pepper and Latin Style Black Bean w/garlic, chipotle and sea salt. Also their Hummus is awesome. All 2 of these soups are creamy blended so we're good to go. Anywho thought I'd share. -

Sounds like your doing good! I'm on day 6 post-op and doing well. My endurance is better and I take my pain meds now just 2x day (morning and early evening) and I can see that reducing soon. It's really hard for me to judge my tummy-sometimes I feel very hungry and every food sounds good and other times I feel challenged to drink a Protein shake. lol. I am really looking forward to adding more foods (hopefully) after I see me doctor tomorrow. Never thought pudding and oatmeal sounded soooo good lol. Take care! -

I was banded on the 19th as well. I haven't had a crying breakdown, although I could see that as a very normal thing. Mine was more of a realization that life is going to be different from this point out and it was kind of a depressing thought mixed with an encouraging thought of yeah it's different but just think how much healthier you'll be. Anywoo, best of luck to you!
