Richmond Virginia Sleevers Around?
enixon2010 replied to GeekyGamerGrrl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I also live in Chesterfield and I would love to find some sleeve buddies to "hook" up with. I was sleeved on December 28, 2011 and I have lost 75 pounds, which I have bitter sweet feelings about. I feel like I have done better. Nonetheless, if you would ever consider talking that would be great. -

I was sleeved by Dr. Carmody and he was great! I have nothing but great things to say about him and his staff. Good luck!! -

Hello fellow December sleever. I was sleeved on December 28, 2011. I have lost 74 pounds so far, but I feel like I am falling in a rut. I really need some help to get back on track. My hunger is coming back and I am starting to be able to eat more than before and I am scared. I didnt go through all of this work to possibly gain back my weight. Does anyone have any advice? What are some everyday staples that you eat? Thanks.

Hello fellow Richmonders. I live in Chesterfield and I was sleeved on December 28, 2011 by Dr. Carmody at St. Mary's. I have lost 74 pounds so far, but I feel like I am falling in a rut. I was sleeved in December and I am starting to have the same problem. I never really used to have an appetite or get hungry, but now I feel like I am hungry every few hours. I am quite frustrated, as I dont want to gain back my weight.

The Scale Is Broken! A Story About Stalls...
enixon2010 replied to Lilee84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on December 28th and I just overcame my first stall, which lasted FIVE WEEKS! Like most of you, I lost 33 pounds right off the bat, but that fast and furious weight loss soon came to an abrupt stop. I was convinced that the sleeve just wasnt going to work for me or that the battery in my new scale was just not working. However, I was loosing inches during the five week stall, as I actually went down a pant size during that time. It is just mentally draining to step on the scale and see the same number everyday for 5 weeks. Atlast, I am happy to say that I have lost 7 pounds in the last 1.5 weeks. I hope that the "stall" doesnt show his ugly face for a while!! -
I was sleeved on December 28th and I have become very discouraged. I have been stalled for the last 4 weeks. I have lost 30 pounds since I was sleeved, which I know is great, but you get so used to the weight just falling off in the beginning. The first few weeks, I lost 1-2 pounds a day! Now, I lose nothing. I have been trying to focus really hard on my Protein intake and Fluid intake. I was just released to start exercising at my 6 week follow up appointment last week. I had some complications, so they didnt release me to exercise until later in the game. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions on what I can do? I feel like my "honeymoon phase" is already over.

How Long To Start Losing Weight After Surgery?
enixon2010 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery on December 28th and I gained 15 pounds from surgery. DOS I weighed 275 and now weigh 265 pounds. Which leaves me with an additional 5 pounds to lose from surgery. When can expect to see some real weight loss? -

Dr. Carmody with Commonwealth Surgeons did my surgery. Both of our doctors are in St. Marys. When is your surgery scheduled for? -

Just one more day December 28th sleevers. I'm in the same boat and I cant wait. My surgery is at 9:30 a.m., but I have to be there at 7:30 a.m. I am very excited but overwhelmed, because I feel like I have so much to do at home before I go to the hospital tomorrow. Good luck to us all!!
