  1. That is absolutely fantastic! WTG! Congrats!
  2. My surgeon opted to remove the band and allow my stomach to return back to its normal shape before performing the sleeve. Severely disappointed, but I know it's for the best. The worst part is by the time I heal from the band removal, I will need to undergo surgery again. Funny thing...I don't feel the need to consume anything fatty or large amounts of anything. Now that the nausea is almost gone and I am using the pain meds less, I am going to resume drinking three Protein shakes a day and eat a small meal in early evening. I am glad to hear everyone is doing well.
  3. Me! At 8am. Very nervous!
  4. Hello all! My sleeve surgery is scheduled for May 22nd and I am very nervous about getting sleeved. I'm nervous about the recovery, nervous about failing, nervous about the surgery itself. My surgeon's staff says it's the best decision I could have every made. Luckily, Aetna approved the surgery within 7 business days; lucky and not so lucky. I am incredibly anxious and unable to stop thinking about my future surgery. I already bought a heating pad and Gas X strips, and am searching for the perfect hospital clothes and stuffy (stuffed animal). I'm so preoccupied with my surgery that I am finding it difficult to focus on anything else. I also stocked up on my Protein drinks! Any guidance or advice would be most appreciated, meanwhile I will keep combing the forum. Have a splendid day.
  5. oh yes, i remember the change in taste buds from before. I only drink the premier Protein shakes in vanilla and chocolate; 30 grams of protein and one gram of sugar. I'm willing to give Gas X a try because there have been favorable reviews. I also already have baby spoons i use and tiny little bowls. many thanks for the advice...it's definitely a new adventure!
  6. Hello all! My sleeve surgery date is scheduled for May 22nd and I must say, normally I am a very strong individual but I am very anxious and a little nervous to have a second surgery. At this point, whether I failed the band or the band failed me is irrelevant; it's coming out and I'll be elated when I am not up all night coughing anymore. I've read many forum posts and am very optimistic about my success. I know weight loss surgery is a tool to help me attain and continue a healthy lifestyle. I look forward to conversing with all of you.
