  1. Your not going to fail and maybe cooking is gonna be your passion. your dad was just having a moment you made the right choice for you. You will rock the sleeve. have you actually seen online anyone that has truly failed after being sleeved. I mean im sure they are out there but nobody knows their circumstance. You will do great and continue to do great things keep up the good work and dont let things bother you i know that hurt but i know my dad loves me soo soo much they sometimes just say things the wrong way. have fun on your journey

    Not Losing Anything...

Me too i had surgery 12/12/11 and i am experience the stall. My body keeps losing inches i havent budged forever but my tops have gone down my hips have gone down and I mean really gone down something that was getting to big last week is now way too big. i have the same frustrating moments that are like really why havent i lost on the scale but the point is is that i am still losing inches. also you wanna make sure getting enough water and food in as hard as it can be at times. Keep your chin up cause if you keep looking through this forum your not alone and everyone sees a big big difference!
  3. My surgeon was dr. Jaimie ponce de Leon at the INT hospital in tijuana. ive had no complications and had remarkable after care through the Grace Guest House ran by co ordinator Lana Humphries. feel free to ask me any questions or concerns. I Had my surgery Dec 12, 2011. and you can get your surgery and stay after surgery for 6000.00 if you pay your own airfare.
  4. Im almost 5 weeks post op and I still get that full stuck feeling! I think its about chewing and slowing down . Im not sure.
  5. So for me this is a minor success story but i had to share that i had a great nsv! all my shirts are too big ! its been almost 1 month and 25 lbs its amazing! just when you think your not gonna lose weight or your sleeve isnt working it is. your body needs time to catch up when it drops lbs therefore its inches take time. im on top of the world and cannot wait for summer and shorts and tank tops and comfortable! lol we as sleevers have so many moments when we think that we are not losing and our sleeve isnt working but i dont think thats the case at all It just takes time and we all have to remember its a tool to make the change we need. its not the whole solution. but it sure makes this weightloss journey a little less hard! well for me any way. Have n awesome day and week !

    Need Encouragement

Do you notice the difference in your clothes? for me that is the bread winner. i can get mad that the scale is not going down but i do notice that my clothes have dropped majorly more than the scale. its a struggle cause we think its gonna happen soo quick but really it took time to put it on and your body needs to reset itself from all the dieting. i know my metabolism isnt great since i have dieted soo much. keep your chin up this is the right tool for the job have faith in it!
  9. How does everybody's wait fluctuate. im 3 weeks out and down 21lbs but i gain then lose. i should be happy with 21lbs right? i mean i am still eating next to nothing just thought some of it would be coming off quicker. mind you it has only been three weeks.
  10. i went to dr.ponce de leon and had the no troubles
  11. I Just wanted to let anyone know who is booking surgery with dr. Ponce de leon and his wonderful crew, that i had a great experience there. the hospital is clean the staff is fantastic. the guest house that you will stay at after surgery is beautiful and the lady who runs it even more beautiful. if you are booking surgery or thinking about it please private msg me and i will help you and give the ins and outs. and just to WARN you there is people out there that will use the surgeons name and try to scam you so please make sure you do your research and book through the right people.
  12. Congratulations! wahoooo! I'm happy for you! you must feel fantastic!
  13. Welcome! Im 2 weeks post op. you will notice the scale go up as your re introduce food your body has had liquid for so long now it has to process food again. Water is a key too success as well cause your body will retain water if you dont drink enough of it. im no expert but i know enough about dieting and what ive put my body through . if you have arthiritis you could do swimming aerobic it takes the pressure of your joints so that you can exercise without pain. and not to worry you will wake up one day and the scale will just drop. also count your Non Scale Victories like that shirt you used to wear is to big or those pants dont fit the same. anyway enough of my babble take care and enjpy your new life.

    Food And Stages

well today marks 2 weeks for me post op im down 17 lbs since dec 12 when i was sleeved but the difference in my clothes is unreal. over the holidays though i have had a taste of this and that and i have managed to eat ham and turkey just chewed it really reallly good till it was nothing. my stomach doesnt hurt or nothing so what do you guys think am i healing ok or am i pushing it. i can tolerate everything i eat a little and go do something then i would have a little more. im suppose to be on puree and mushies starting this week but i seem to be fine if i chew everything real well. and when i say well i mean to liquid which is hard for me because im a texture person and someone who used to eat fast.
  16. I did. i have memory struggle any ways but i was totally absent minded for the first week. i would put my keys in place like the cupboard and things like that. i think that it is just part of the lack of protein and vitamins that we were missing and our bodies reacting to almost starving before surgery and then the anaesthetic after surgery.

    Day 11 Post-op

i was told no boost or or ensure cause its high in calories. do you have aanywhere that sells ideal protein its a diet company that makes soup and drinks that are low carb low fat and high protein about 15 to 20 gm of protein per soup. also walmart has a protein shot that has 39g of protein it is kind of like a sour fruit punch but you could mix it with crystal light it is about 2 oz so it isnt that hard to get down. i couldnt do proetin shakes i dont like the texture or taste but anyway visalus is a good shake if you can it also has all your vitamins in it.
