    Sharp Cutting Like Pain

Sounds like you're getting stuck while eating.
  2. Honestly it is bad and can lead to a second surgery or removal of the band. It happened to me with my band slipping 4 months out. Be smart about the process and learn from others mistakes. If you can't eat, need to take something regularly for heartburn there is a problem. Don't ignore it - seek medical advice. Best of luck.

Idk What Is Wrong With Me

I have heard your pouch can get larger and food may be sitting on the side. I would have your dr do a test to check. Better to be safe than sorry.

What Does An Ulcer Vs A Slip Feel Like?

Had a slip recently and before I found out I thought an unfill was a horrible thought....guess what - surgery to fix the slip beats it. Please go to the ER. Call ur Lapband Dr and see what ER he recommends in the area. They should be able to direct the surgeon in the ER on how to do a simple unfill if they don't know. Getting sick this often is a major warning sign - no goal is worth the risk! Good luck.

    How To Tell Spouse

I would just asking him to be involved so both of you can decide if it's right for you. I went to the seminar for my husband 2 different times to support him although I was unsure about it. In the end, I not only knew it was a great opportunity for him but I was banded a month behind him. You will need his support - so ask it. Good luck.

Anyone Have A Good Roasted Chickpea Recipe?

I've made that recipe and really enjoyed them. You can add different spices (red chili flakes, cayenne) for a little kick. I make a few cans at one time & keep cold - no issues staying for a week or so. Enjoy!

I Failed The Lapband - Please Help Me.

Maybe this is the journey you were suppose to take - fix the obsession with food first then continue to lose weight. I don't think you should consider yourself a failure if you have lost 45lbs and kept it off. I hope you're seeking help for the mental (hardest) part of the process. As long as you don't give up and stop you won't become a failure. Good luck - stay positive.

    Coffee After Lap Band Surgery?

I had coffee the day after surgery - I'm willing to part with a lot but coffee is not one of them at this point.

    Dr's Visit - Nsv

That's awesome - congrats! It may be hard to do but find ways to connect your mind to this imagine so it becomes something you love!
  16. I liked the idea the band could be reversed and then hearing my Dr say they would only support the Lapband because of complications with other options made my choice clear.
  17. I had a six month requirement too that seemed overwhelming in the beginning, but I was glad for the time to emotionally get ready. If I would have rushed the process I don't think I would have done the mental work that prepared me for the harder days. 2 months post-op I couldn't be happier and I know all the pre-work made it possible. Good luck in your journey!

Insurance Won't Approve Rebuckling Of Lap Band!

15 days may be the average but if you have surgery scheduled the Dr can call the insurance company to escalate the request and hopefully speed it up. Good luck!
  23. I would talk to your dr - this could be unrelated to the Lapband. Try to notice if the pain is in both sides at the same time or only one side - I've had similar issues and knowing that is key to helping figure out the problem. Good luck!
  24. Awesome job Tracie - your story is a great inspiration for all of us. Thanks for sharing and continue to keep us posted.
  25. Welcome - agree with walk, walk, walk. Don't worry if you need a fill or not....take one day at a time. Speedy recovery.
