    October 60 Mile Walk Challenge

Had a super busy Tuesday and nasty rainy Wednesday. Pushed it and did 4.5 miles today to make up for lost time. Shooting for 5 tomorrow... I found a new way home from the park - a longer way - and that helps me add on to my total. And taking the long way isn't so bad, when the goal is getting home LOL Have a great week everyone

    October 60 Mile Walk Challenge

Took yesterday off because of bad weather. Decided to suck it up today and walked to the mall so my daughter could play indoors. We made it home just before the bottom fell out! Another 3 miles down... Everyone is doing so awesome! What wonderful motivation you all are

    October 60 Mile Walk Challenge

Did another 4 yesterday, and decided to take it easy today so I went to the park and did 2. Then I pushed my toddler on the swing for a while, so I got a good arm workout too. Keep up the great pace everyone!

FOUR miles today! I can't believe I did it! I totally pushed myself, and my feet are screaming, but the payoff is so worth it! I just might have to do it again tomorrow Happy walking, everyone!

    October 60 Mile Walk Challenge

4 miles down so far! I'm so excited I bought a new pair of shoes with the Nike insert thing, and used it this morning. Works awesome and is a great motivator with the voice prompts and whatnot. Shooting for 3 more miles tomorrow on a new trail I just found. Can't wait! Great job so far everyone, keep up the pace!

    October 60 Mile Walk Challenge

I am totally in! I started a walking routine this week, and this will keep me motivated for sure! I'm on my phone now, but will figure out the ticker thing once I can get to my pc.

I hate my metabolisim this sucks....

How often are you weighing yourself? From my experience, it will save you a lot of heartache and frustration if you don't weigh yourself more than once a week. Move the scale to a spot where you're not going to be tempted to hop on it so frequently and pick one day a week to pull it out. Good luck and stick with it, you'll do great!

    Anyone still out there..????

I've only just joined this forum, but I'm another 2005 Bander here. Had mine in Dec 2005. Lost just over 60lbs initially. I'm my own worst enemy, and have managed to gain everything back over the past few years. Am now back on the wagon, and hoping that joining this forum will give me the extra push I need. I don't know anyone else with a band (other than one friend who I haven't kept in good contact with lately), so I'm hoping that being around others who are dealing with similar struggles will give me some support that I've been lacking.
  14. Hi all! I was banded in Dec 2005. Lost about 60lbs of the 150lb goal I'd set. After some personal struggles and now having a toddler, I have gained back all I lost and then some. Today, I had my band re-adjusted to the point I was at pre-pregnancy. I've been given a new food log and a set of instructions to start following again. I have a brand new jogging stroller with a kiddo who is excited to start going for rides. Yet, I still have a huge sense of apprehension. Will I be able to get the weight off, and keep it off, this time? Can I keep myself from eating the junky foods I've stuffed myself with over the past few years? Will I get the support I need from my family and friends (many of whom don't actually know that I've even had the surgery)? I was given a link to this forum a few years ago by a close friend. I only lurked at the time, but now I am joining. I need help. I need support. And I'm really hoping I'll be able to find it here. Thanks for letting me share. Can't wait to dive in and start posting more
