  1. I had my surgery on the 9th of February. Everything went great and I have had no problems other than trying to make sure I get all my protein in for the day. When I woke up this morning though I had a pain in my left side it was kind of a sharp pain. It reminded me of when you have been running and you get a cramp in your side. Not sure what it is and was curious if anyone else has had any similar pain? I know the body goes through a lot with the surgery and I should expect some pain here and there. Just wanting to make sure it's not something I need to worry about.

  3. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had reconstructive surgery with Dr. Harris at Puget Sound Surgical Center in Washington? If so what was your experience like? Thanks all
  4. Jane, I cannot get over how great you are doing and only a month out. You are definitetly rocking that hour glass figure. How are your thighs doing? I know you hear alot about it taking them the longest to heal and being so painful. What do think has been the hardest part in all of this? Again, thank you so much for sharing in your journey.
  5. That is awesome, I wonder if my PCP would be willing to do that. Since he is two hours away. That would be a big help. By the way you look great!!!

    The Sleeve & Martiage.

I completely understand how you feel. I am fighting some of the same issues you spoke of but I have been married for 15 years. Still not sure what I am going to do with my life.

  11. It has been great getting all the informtaion from everyone who has had PS, what I am curious about is how the scars are doing and how long it takes for them to fade? I am looking at having a LBL, BL, and an arm lift but I am worried about how I will look with all the scars. I would love to see some pictures of how well they fade or how long does it take for them to start fading? Thanks

Thank you, most of the pictures I've seen have been right after surgery and I know they are going to be pretty red but wondering how they look say a year out. Glad to hear you have no regrets.

    post plastic surgery question

OMG! I laughed my @$$ off reading this post. I am glad you finally got your answer though. That makes sense though to wait the 6 to 8 weeks. Good to know
  14. I am sorry you had to remove your pictures because of some idiot. Please keep us updated though of how your doing.
  15. So I checked with our Payroll personnell this is what she sent me. You may use it for yourself, but FMLA is for serious medical condition. Unless the reconstructive surgery was because of another medical issue or continuation of treatment for another medical condition. FMLA does not give you any leave, you may use any of your own available leave, up to 12 weeks. FMLA only protects your job. Fact Sheet: Family and Medical Leave Entitlement On June 26, 2013, the Supreme Court ruled that Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional. As a result of the Supreme Court's decision, the United States Office of Personnel Management (OPM) will now be able to extend certain benefits to Federal employees and annuitants who have legally married a spouse of the same sex, regardless of the employee's or annuitant's state of residency. OPM is currently in the process of updating and revising the website to reflect this change, and will be updating this information as soon as possible. Please check back in the coming weeks for updates. Under the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA), most Federal employees are entitled to a total of up to 12 workweeks of unpaid leave during any 12-month period for the following purposes: .the birth of a son or daughter of the employee and the care of such son or daughter; .the placement of a son or daughter with the employee for adoption or foster care; .the care of spouse, son, daughter, or parent of the employee who has a serious health condition; or .a serious health condition of the employee that makes the employee unable to perform the essential functions of his or her positions. .any qualifying exigency arising out of the fact that the spouse, or a son, daughter, or parent of the employee is on covered active duty (or has been notified of an impending call or order to covered active duty) in the Armed Forces. Under certain conditions, an employee may use the 12 weeks of FMLA leave intermittently. An employee may elect to substitute annual leave and/or sick leave, consistent with current laws and OPM's regulations for using annual and sick leave, for any unpaid leave under the FMLA. (The amount of sick leave that may be used to care for a family member is limited. See Sick Leave to Care for a Family Member with a Serious Health Condition.) FMLA leave is in addition to other paid time off available to an employee ---------- So with all that being said I don't know if it will cover for when I take off I guess it depends on what the Dr. says? I hope this helps or if it was even what you were looking for.
  16. I agree with Cowgirl Jane for it only being a month they look great. You look great!! I imagine that in a year they will be hardly noticible. Thanks for posting the pictures.
  17. I'm not sure, can we use that for ourselves? I thought it was for taking care of family members? I will have to look into that. I'll let you know what I find out.
  18. Are you talking about Family medical leave act?
  19. I was wondering if you had any pictures of your arms. How does the scar look? I would love to have mine done but I'm afraid of what the scar will look like.

    July 26 plastics... Updates:)

You look amazing, thank you so much for the updates and pictures. I am planning on having pretty much the same procedures other than possibly my arms done instead of the thigh lift. I am a little scared about having so much work done at one time but seeing your post and your results makes me feel a lot better about it. Thanks again, Oh and did I mention that you look AMAZING!!
