Well its been 4 months since surgery and I am 40 pounds down and 3 sizes smaller Doctor is happy with my progress and says I should reach my goal by 9 months with no problem.....I would like it to go faster but He said slow and steady wins the race......I am happy the scale is moving in the right direction for as change (with the PCOS, there is hope ). I am still having a problem fitting in all my protien and calories....I average 55g protien (needs to be 60-70g) and about 900 cal. (needs to be 1200) any suggestions? I do have some hair loss but they say that should slow down around 6 months or so.....it just started last month..... So if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to respond!

First let me say congrats on the surgery and your weight loss.....Great Job! Its normal to be frustrated. I am 2 months out and get frustrated all the time. I do NOT regret the surgery at all though. I was a lover of good flavorful food prior to surgery as i love to cook and experiment with recipes. Now I am able to eat so little that it sometimes is frustrating because I don't enjoy food as much. I didn't realize until I was able to eat normal that I had a pretty bad relationship with food. I hear ya on the chugging water thing to. Its frustrating to sip water after a workout. I resorted swishing and spitting it out to wet my mouth. It was kinda a mental refreshment more than anything. Then I am able to sip and replenish. (after a workout I use powerade zero it helps replenish a little faster I think) Good luck, it will get better its mind over matter.....

So I am wondering how long you have to wait to work out your abdominal muscles? I really want to start working them hard so not to get to much extra flab.

I'm a 38h any suggestions there? Its hard finding a normal bra let alone one that will tame the girls while running......was hoping that would be one of the places I lost first, but nope they are still there.....

Hey Spadesmcloven here is an example of my day, I find if I eat less I don't lose for some reason.....hope it helps! 7a.m. I have a protien shake made with almond milk for breakfast. (26g protien) 10-11a.m. I have a snack sometimes a protien bar (atkins snack bars around 10g protien) or lt. string cheese with 4 whole grain crackers 12-1p.m. Lunch small salad with grilled chicken breast, or 1/2 sandwich (turkey breast light mayo, 1 slice lf. cheese on whole wht. bread) 3-4p.m. snack protien bar (atkins) or yogurt 6pm dinner whatever I make the family (small portion though) example (grilled steak or chicken, grilled veg. and sometimes a half small baked potatoe) 8-9 pm I get hungry so I have like beef jerky or something high in protien I drink all day long water, crystal light and have a cup of hot tea in the morning sweetened with truvia. I usually shoot for 64 oz. sometimes I exceed that and sometimes I only hit 50............

Exactly one month ago today I was sleeved....I feel great! I am 21 lbs down as of this morning....I was hoping for more but have had a few stalls along the way My first stall was about 2 weeks after surgery but that was due to my period I think....I am trying not to step on a scale everyday, but find this to be more difficult than I thought. I guess its due to the excitement of seeing the scale actually move after years of it not budging. Just wanted to share my anniversay and small but huge to me success! Wishing everyone out there luck in their journey!!!!!! Have a wonderful day and God bless!

So it was last Monday I was sleeved and I get to start my protien shakes today. I have lost 14 lbs as of this morning woohoo.I am so excited to be starting my full liquids as I have been so hungry since Sunday and got tired really easy. So it will be nice to feel satisfied for a little while. Things are going very well, I am healing nicely. I havent had any pain. My worst pain was the day after surgery, the gas in my shoulder was like someone wacking me with a bat but I walked lots at the hospital and that went away fast. I so enjoy reading everyones posts aand just wanted to say thanks you all are an inspiration and have helped in more ways that you could imagine. God Bless and Good Luck!!!!!!
