    Hungrier after fill

I had my second fill last Wednesday and now I'm at 6 ccs and just this morning I started feeling very restricted, but I heard that sometimes its hard to eat in the mornings but I have never had a problem until today. I have had many girlfriends that have had this done and they say it takes sometimes a week or two to feel the restriction. I'm stuck right at 200 and can't seem to get to Onederland. LOL I hope that this restriction will continue to stay with me. How many cc's do you have now? Good Luck..
  2. Congrats!! I forgot to get on the scale this morning, I'm hoping to be at onederland this weekend too. It's been 2 months and I need to break the twoville..Keep on moving and losing...

    Happy Bandiversary to me

Congratulations on your 6 month anniversary!! I had my 2 month anniversary yesterday and I'm down 20 pounds and I have 6ccs now. I can't seem to get to onederville but I'm right at 200 so I know that it will be coming anyday now. Keep up the good work and keep on moving...
  4. I am one month post op and I feel that I want to snack on small stuff all day long. I don't know if it's stress or habit but I keep pretzels, almonds and crackers in my desk at work and I munch on them during the day. I don't know if this is bad or if I'm just getting used to the routine but I can't seem to just stick to 3 solid meals a day.
  5. I was banded on September 8th and the 3rd and 4th weeks for me were the hardest to stick to the diet. I did have some food that I wasn't supposed too but it did subside this week and now I'm back on track and going for my first fill tomorrow..I'm sooo excited to get some restriction again. Take one day at a time and remember that slow and steady wins the race!! Good luck!!
  6. I am having my first fill on Friday morning and I'm wondering if I have to fast that day? I was banded on September 8th and really excited about my first fill but I don't know if I can eat or drink anything the morning of my fill...another question, How soon can I be filled again? I heard you can have a fill every 2 weeks, is this true? I also heard that you won't feel much restriction until about the 3rd fill, is this true too? Just a bit curious to this new situation in my life. Thanks
  7. Thank you for all your advice. I knew that I it wasn't the right decision to be snacking on stuff during the day. I just went shopping and got some cheese, salami and greek yogurts and my supply of peanut flour came in today for some added protein to my shakes and yogurts. I will get back on track with my first fill this Friday so I'm really looking forward to feeling some restriction again.

    Lost 70 pounds since April

Congratulations ladies, this is great news and very encouraging to hear. I'm going on my 5th week since surgery and it's been an adjustment to get used to. I dropped 17 pounds the first 3 weeks and then my appetite came back and I gained 4 pounds. UGH..I get my first fill on Friday so I'm looking forward to it because I need some restriction again. I wanted to ask when did it finally click with you and you started getting the hang of how the band works for you? I had a hard time last week and now I'm getting back on track. When did you start feeling a rhythm of weight loss?

  10. Don't worry! Your appetite will come back sooner than later. I felt the same way and now I'm nervous because tomorrow is 4 weeks for me and it's that time of the month which I have many cravings and I'm eating my fair share again. Once I hit 3 weeks, my appetite came back with a venegence. LOL..
  11. Thanks everyone, I feel much better hearing that I'm not the only one that is having some issues with eating. I do believe that it's that special time of the month for me and I know that sugar and salt is craved. UGH!! I will continue to think before I eat but I really can't wait until my first fill next Friday on the Oct. 14th!
  12. I'm 31/2 weeks post op and I'm getting nervous about slipping back into bad habits. I have my appetitie back and that makes me nervous! I don't want to lose track of my goals but I'm starting to crave the old sugar and fatty foods. During the week, I'm so consistent and on track with exercise and protein and once this weekend came around I slipped into eating some bad foods. This was my first weekend that I had a glass of wine and had some fried foods. I stepped on the scale and gained 4 pounds and now I'm scared straight. I need some encouragement to stay on track on my weekends and not lose sight of the goal. I have my first fill on the 14th of October and I'm really looking forward to it.
  13. I am 10 days post op today and I'm feeling much better. My shoulder and gas pains are lessening. I am going to my girls bunco party this Friday night which will be 15 days post op, and I know that all the girls will be drinking some sort of alcoholic beverage. Could I have some wine or a margarita to sip on or is it a bad decision so soon?
  14. Don't feel so bad, I had my surgery the day after yours on the 8th and I did the same thing last week. I ate a few bites of chili beans and baked potato and I couldn't eat another thing for 2 days. I was miserable and beat myself up because I gave into temptation. Luckily, I have great friends that have had this surgery and they reminded me to go back and drink the shakes and soup.
  15. My name is Pennie and I just had my lapband surgery 10 days ago and I feel really great. I have lost about 1'3 pounds and my intention is to lose another 70 pounds. I'm finishing up my masters degree in educational counseling and I work for a high school district in California. I'm also a licensed cosmetologist and have been cutting hair for 23 years. I've been married 15 years and have two children. I'm excited about this new forum of sharing and I look forward to interacting with the group.
