I just made pizza for my kids and wanted to cry because I wanted to eat so bad!! I actually licked the sauce off my fingers...shameful I know! Im one week out as well, and I know how you feel! But we can do this, right?? Right???

Recovery hasn't been too bad. I've been lucky and haven't had much pain or gas issues like some do. I tried chewing better as practice also, but you don't get to chew anything for quite a while after surgery!! The hardest part for me is the diet. I'm not very hungry, but I still want to eat real food! I'm down 7 lbs since surgery though, so I'll keep at it! You'll do great!

Hey all, my name is Dana and I have been lurking here for several months. I am 28, divorced, with 2 little boys, and I work as a registered nurse. I started my 6 month required nutrition program back in March, and now am awaiting official insurance approval for my lap band. My surgery date is tentatively October 17th, one moth from today!! It's been a long road,a nd I am excited for it to finally be here! Look forward to talking with you all, and I love reading all of your stories!
