My name is Jessica. I live in Hurst, TX orginally from WV, moved here 6 years ago when I got married. I have been overweight for as long as I can remember. Every year I would promise myself that I would lose weight in the summer before another year of school started. That I would eat better and exercise more. However, as I'm sure all of you know, that didn't happen. When I was in high school I was physically active for half the year because I played softball, but that doesn't help if you only do it half a year. I have been wanting to have the LapBand since I got married in 2005. My insurance would never pay for it, so I had to save up enough money to be able to put down on it, and then the center would finance me the rest. Well I have finally saved up $3800 so I can moved forward with the new me. My surgery date is Oct 12 and I couldn't be more excited! I am looking forward to this journey, it has been a long time in the making!
