I was always very hesitant to have the surgery cause I didn't want to take the easy way out of it. I knew a couple people that had it and started talking to them about it and how the surgery goes and what you eat. I started thinking this isn't an easy way out its more of a help. Like when smokers want to quit smoking they use a patch. You would also have to watch what you eat and so on. I realized it wasn't an easy way out. So I immediately called my insurance company then the doctor and set up an appointment. This took a little bit cause I went to my regular doctor and she said that she would have to have papers to fill out and that I needed to call my insurance company back. I called my insurance and they said to just find a doctor in network that was a Bariatric doctor. So i did that, went to them and they got the ball rolling. I did every thing I was suppose to then got told I needed to go to my main doctor and get an ok from her about the surgery. I immediatly faxed that to the Bariatric doctor and within a week I had an approval letter from my insurance doctor. I faxed that to my bariatric doctor and they immediatly set up a surgery date for Aug 19th 2011. I was not nervous at all for the surgery.
