NYC Girl

Got banded this past Monday (9/12/11) and doing well.  Post-op day 1 (in hospital) and 2 were clear liquids only.  Given L-Arginine (orange flavored) in hospital on post op day 1 as soon as I passed my esophogram.  At home sipped water, home-made iced tea (unsweatened), and some broth.  Today is post-op day 3 and I am adding Protein Shakes to the diet.  I've been using a combination of Special K protein shakes (ordered from Amazon - cheapest I could find) and GNC Lean Shakes -- more expensive but with more protein so more satisfying.
No real pain, but I'm very tired due to the surgery.  Stomach is alittle "rumbly" and gassy, but otherwise okay.  Seem to have mild diarrhea, understandable because i've not taken in much fiber.  Clinic nutritionist recommended adding Benefiber -- and I just got raspberry flavor which is sold in individual servings which are added to water bottles.  Tastes great, and makes me drink more water.
My highest weight was 225 prior to surgery, but I lost 15 pounds after gall-bladder surgery in April.  Lost an additional 5-8 lbs on pre-op diet.  Weighted myself this morning and I'm at 202.
