Hello.. I started my pre-op diet 10 days prior to surgery.. I thought I was nearly going to starve to death. I went in for surgery at 830am on Oct 20, 2011 and the staff at St. Francis Hospital was wonderful.. I was leaving the hospital heading for home by 2:00 pm.. I really didn't have much pain. I only took pain meds for the first 3 days.. I did have some pains from gas.. I took gas-x and I have been up walking around quite a bit since friday morning.. Walking helps so much.. I have been drinking my water, broth, and protein shakes.. I really think I'm doing well.. I have lost 17 lbs since my pre-op diet began.. Just a start.. I can't wait to be skinny again.. : )
