    Bathroom Problems

Hi, I just wanted to mention that my nutritionalist told me to mix all my juices with Water to thin it out a bit, or I would get diarrhea. Maybe that is what is happening with you?? Try drinking extra water too...most of us don't drink enough water:nervous :welldoneclap: Take care, Cyndy

    It's either bad hunger pangs...

Hi, I just wanted to let you know I'm going through the same thing. I was banded on the 26th...My stomach is aching BAD....I think it will be better when we can get something a little more solid in our stomachs. For me, the pains come in waves. I never have done well when I'm hungry, or....nothing in my stomach (same thing to me). My stomach growls a lot and I feel "sick to my stomach". I think this would be the normal for anyone just drinking liquids and no real food. I am trying to drink more broth and stay away from all the sugary juices....that seems to be helping a bit tonight. Take care and hang in there...we'll make it:) Cyndy in Oregon
  5. Hi, I am new to this and getting banded this month, sooo not even banded yet. But, I just wanted to comment from what I have read it seems you are being able to eat to much. It is my understanding we should only be able to eat about 1/4 cup of food at a time. You said you are going in for your 3rd fill, hopefully this will be the one that restricts you better. Have you called and talked with the doctor who performed your surgery, and/or the nutrionalist? Make sure you are honest about the amount of food you are able to eat with them as well. Don't get discouraged, you just haven't had the band filled to where it needs to be yet. Are you doing any exercise? If not, try to walk just 5 minutes a day, before you know it, once you're out there, you'll want to walk longer. For most people, it's just getting out the door. And I find it much easier when I tell myself "It's only for 5 minutes"....but then I walk a little longer each time:) It will get better, I"m sure of it. Take care, Cyndy

Hi, I live in a small town very close to Salem, Oregon. Are you in Oregon? Yes I'm going to TJ with Dr. Ortiz for my surgery. Where did you go? Thanks for saying "hey" I've never really got into a forum before, but this seems to feel really good here. Everybody supporting everyone and sharing so much info. Take care:) Cyndy

Hi:phanvan My name is Cyndy. I live in Oregon, and I'm getting "banded" March 26th. I am married to a very supportive husband and have two beautiful children, 2 and 9. We breed Labrador Retrievers. We have 4. We just moved to the country last summer and we love it in our new small town. I was always thin until I divorced my first husband 20 years ago. I started gaining weight and did the yo-yo dieting thing. I virtually starved myself off and on for the first few years. I spent thousands of dollars trying to lose weight, only to gain it all and more back, feeling worse and worse about myself every time. I have never had very much self esteem or confidence, even when I was thin. I never saw myself as attractive. Now I look back and think,,,"What the heck girl, you were a hottie and didn't know it!" Maybe if I had a little more self esteem I would have cared to keep the weight off when it first started, a healthy way. Well I just turned 40 last month and I'm 105lbs overweight. I never thought I'd see the day. My biggest fear has always been that I'd wake up one day and say, "I just don't care anymore". I'm overweight and that's the way I'll always be. Who cares anyway?" I'm sure that day would have ever come, but something inside me just said do it now or you may never have the chance. I am so excited to get started on this new way of life. I WANT ME BACK!!

I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, but I just wanted to say "HI" I am going to get my band March 26th with Dr. Ortiz. How were the people there? I am excited, nervous, scared and thrilled all at the same time...You are sooo close to reaching your goal...ticker to read less then 100lbs to go,,,Great job! Take care, and keep up the good work, Cyndy in Oregon:clap2:
