Thanks. The article was from a post on here. The cases were in CA..same surgical affiliates all from a billboard sign..1800-getthin! Go figure..that's creepy. My doc has a zero mortality rate. I have been to seminars and have done a lot of research over the last 2 years. I have had surgeries in the past..just not in a center. I liked the idea of coming home the same day so that it would be easier mentally on my girls but if it is a danger I will talk to the doc about changing me to a hospital. Dr. Trivedi is a good doctor. I just need to speak with him I guess.

The sad thing is that I went down to a size 12 last year. Haven't shopped in there for 2 years but once again I lost focus and stopped putting myself on the priority list! Oh yeah and why do they use skinny as# mannequins in a plus sized store?? They just have the clothes bunched up in the back..come on. At least get a full figured one..not saying it has to have "roll" but a little meat on it would be nice. I get banded Nov 9th.

After going to 6 stores I bought a sweater from kohls and back to lane Bryant for the blingy top! They gave me a coupon for 25 percent off!

Oh the visit with the doctor was very pleasant. He just asked about my history of weight issues and if I understood that it is life changing and that if I ever needed him I could come back....ummm NO. I told him that there are support groups which I highly intend to use. Got my letter and they didn't commit me.

Ummm that's not what my issue was..I was surrounded by severely...mentally handicapped people. It was like one flew over the coookooos nest..it started to break my heart. I just prayed for them and for me to get the hell outta there.

This is really starting to creep me out..I think I chose the wrong place for my pre op appointment...oh gosh

Hi all! I am getting banded Nov 9th..eventhough I know that everyones experience is different would you mind sharing with me how much you lost the first month after surgery? I see there are a lof of negative posts on the site..I love hearing positive stories..they motivate me! Thanks!

Hi All, This is the first time that i am writing on the boards. I am a happily married mother of 3 girls and i have battled my weight up and down my whole life. I lost 50 pounds by diet and exercising and quickly gained it back....so i am 3 pounds away from my all time highest. I dont get banded until 11/9/11 and it seems so far away! I am so tired of the fat rollercoaster and just want to get off the dang ride! Would you believe that a man i work with had the gaul to say "Hey are you Preggo"?? in front of someone else. I poliely said no....he then goes on to say "REALLY" he was one of the people who told me how great i looked when i lost the 50 pounds! i said yes i am sure...i am just FAT! i didnt know what else to say to that honestly. I am just sick and tired of being sick and tired. My doc does not give a pre op diet...after the pregnancy remark i think i will start one! How is everyone doing?

Thanks I will. I am telling a select few also. I lost 50 pounds last year with diet and exercise and was down to a size 12! I gained it all back once again! A guy at work asked me if I was pregnant!! I am so tired of the yo yo coaster..I start to think people enjoy my failure of not keeping the weight off.

Hi all! I get banded 11/9..I love hearing success stories. Do you mind sharing yours? Start weight and date and end weight and date? I read so many negative things on the board..I like hearing the good stuff!! It is very motivating!

11/9/11! It can't get here fast enough. I have been gaining instead of losing..I need to get my mind right!

looking forward to losing this fat apron... looking forward to shopping in the mall with my skinny sister and not standing around the skinny chick stores just watching and wishing looking forward to not wearing a business suit as a bathing suit...i swear they put so much material on those tankinis theres enough for a job interview!
