Highest wt 428. Was on phen-fen for on month then found heart doc who rx'd phentermine alone. That worked and I lost 128#. Eventually stopped phentermine and kept off wt until I had couple of broken bones and had to stop exercising. Weight started to pile back on and heart doc uggested surgery. I investigated in hartford but the surgoen's office couldn't or wouldn't get thru the insurance. I had medicare and anthem state preferred. Finally fought with that doctor's office and they "banned" me from coming to them. The following year contacted yale univiersity. They also wanted to give me lapband surgery but I wanted vsg. Finally they were able to get thru the insurance and got me precertified by anthem. Am still waiting to hear what my out of pocket costs witll be. Am down @ 703 since 12/5 ...it is 4/27 now.
