Question/comment: you said you are 6 days out... Isn't that too early for eggs and cheese? First two weeks post should be full liquids. No soft til 2-4 weeks out. Maybe you should check with your doc and you need more protein to fill you up?
-
I never heard of "no fruit til 75% of weight gone". Has anyone else gotten this instruction? Hope I didn't miss that from my doc. I am 9 weeks post and down 45 pounds.

dizziness and headaches
Pam Peltz replied to annav562's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Losing weight can also cause your blood pressure to go down. That causes dizziness too. -
Looks yummy. I'm new on Pinterest. How do I pin it to my board? Thx

What ya eating tonight?
Pam Peltz replied to OleHippieGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been buying and liking Walden Farms products. They have zero calories zero sugar zero fat zero carbs and gluten free. They have ketchup, and BBQ sauces as well as caramel and chocolate syrups and bunches of salad dressings. They are awesome to buy from. (No I don't have a connection just appreciate a good line of products and excellent customer service). Give them a try. -
I'm 6 1/2 weeks post and I ate a rainbow roll Friday. I took off as much of the rice as I could. Was fine. Just remember to chew chew chew!!

Anyone dealing with Runner's Knee/Chondromalacia?
Pam Peltz replied to lessoflittlebit's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I have considerably less knee and hip pain now. I do have some but it is more tolerable. I do not take pain meds. I take Joint Juice and Tumeric both reportedly helpful in reducing joint inflammation. My surgery was 2/20 and I've lost 40 pounds. I walk 2 plus miles 5-6 days a week. I do notice a difference in pain ratio with more weight loss. -
I got soft gels but was wondering if anyone knows if RNYs can absorb the supplements or do I need to break them open? Thanks.

I love love love my fitbit. It tracks everything and there is no monthly fee like most other trackers. And their customer service is exceptional and also free. I'd go that route if I was you.

I understand too. I was weighed at my nut appt on March 25 I was 228 and today same scale was 229. Tomorrow is my 6 week post surgery day. Is this normal? Maybe someone can shed some light on this for both of us? I walk 60 minutes a day. Having trouble getting all my protein and water in. Calories per day under 750. Thx.

I am doing a 5k in 3 weeks and I want to get some compression shorts. Does anyone have a good inexpensive source for them? I probably need a 2x. Thank you.

I am 9 days post band to RNY. I am afraid of dumping and trying to understand what makes it happen. So is is just regular sugar? Can fruit sugars cause it? Am I to go banana and orangeless forevermore? And being type 1 diabetic what can I use to treat lows?

Freecycle is a great resource. It is one of the groups on the yahoo.com site. You get rid of and get things you need. -

I have been using the GNC Wheybolic Protein and it has 60 g of protein (3 scoops not thick) in 12 oz of water. Great way to get all protein in one drink and the taste is tolerable. Do no recommend the plain whey as it has aftertaste and does not mix as well. Comes in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and cookies and cream. So far I've only had chocolate.

Mine was band to RNY. surgery date was Feb 20 and I am doing awesome. Before surgery I couldn't stand or walk longer than 8 minutes and today I walked for an hour on the treadmill and went 2 miles! I have some hip pain but knee pain is decreasing. I am working up to doing a Color Me Rad 5k on April 21. I've been fat since I was 6 so this is truly the beginning of a whole new life for me!! I am 60 years old. -
I'd like to add you all but I need email addresses. If you'd rather, you can add me ppeltz@yahoo.com No place I've found to just add by username.
