If they repaired a hernia, it's the stitches they put in the repair. It will stop in a week or so. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

I am 4 1/2 years out now. I work hard to maintain my 100 lb weight loss. If it helps any, my self imposed rule is no food after 9:00 pm at night If I have the desire to snack, I stop all food at my set time. I will drink coffee or water after 9:00 pm, and it has helped the 1-2 lbs gain I got for late night snacking. Congratulations. Keep up the good work.

2 years out and struggling with Munchies
ereneeh replied to Barisaxylady's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
I will be 3 years out next week. I went 8 lbs past my goal of 150 to 142 but have found that I have a problem with snacking too. I had gained back up to 155 and freaked out. I paid too much to go back. So, my solution. I keep a bag of turkey Jerky in my car and I snack on that. It fills me up fast and gives lots me of Protein. Then, 2 weeks ago I decided that I will put NO food in my mouth after 10:00 pm at night. I did not realize how much I picked and snacked late at night. Well, this morning I was back to 151. If I feel the need to eat something after 10:00 pm, I just drink Water. Hope this helps. -

Did they repair a hernia? If yes, it is the stitch from the hernia repair. It will get better. I had the same thing and it lasted about a month.

7 months and told to stop losing and start maintenance.....

I am 5'6" and stopped losing at 142. At 2 1/2 years out, I am at 150-151 now. My Dr. wants me to lose 3-5 lbs so I don't start a habit of gaining. I still fight in my head that I'm not thin. You have to do what you feel comfortable with. My goal is to stay between 145-150 so I just have to watch what I eat to get a couple of lbs. off. At 51 years old, this is what is best for me. You've done an amazing job. -

Grazing will cause weight gain. My Dr. Says 3-4 meals a day and you only eat for 30 min. It's the in between snacking that will get you.

I am 2 years out now and can't drink orange juice. Also have to limit rice, especially sushi rice. I love sushi but only eat rolls without rice. I have had calif rolls in lettuce instead of rice, and we have a local place that lets you build your own rolls. Yummy. I order a tuna, salmon, avo, and crab all wrapped in seaweed. This roll lasts me 2 meals. My go to snack is turkey jerky. Jack Links brand is my favorite.

I just realized that tomorrow will be my 2 year surgiversary. I was where most of you are today stressing about the ride to the hospital. Now, 2 years later, I have been at my goal weight of under 150 for a year now. For all you out there, YOU can do this. What a change to my life and my health. No, it has not all been easy. No, I still can't eat very much, but!!! I wear a size 8 for the first time in my 51 year life. I sleep all night without snoring. I don't feel like I'm being stared at because I'm big. I fit in movie theater and airplane seats. My knees and ankles don't hurt. Because, nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. No regrets. Keep dreaming for a new life. 10 lbs of fluid gain. Don't worry. You'll lose it with about 50 trips to the bathroom.

Be honest - does anyone regret the surgery?
ereneeh replied to TvlGrl712's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
No regrets at almost 2 years out. Best feeling in the world to not carry around that extra weight and not worry about swollen ankles, and possible health issues in the coming years. Yes, it's a change in your life, but these changes are a lot better than changes for diabetes or heart attack. -
Hi There, I live in Morro Bay, CA . We had the same surgery date and now have the same weight. Glad you are doing so well. My surgery was in San Jose with Dr. Cirangle.

Had my surgery Oct. 2011 with Dr. Cirangle. Check out my profile to see my progress. Great Dr. and worth every penny. When is your surgery?
