Wow! Only 13 lbs to goal. -
From the album: My journey
Size 10 jeans. This is a big first for my life. Big victory. -
I have 15 lbs to my goal and it has definitely slowed down. 5 lbs lost in the last month. But, I also went to buy some new pants and size 12's were too big. I haven't worn 10's ever. I now have a new pair of size 10 jeans. At almost 8 months since my sleeve, that should put me at goal by my 1 year anniversary. I can live with that.

Suggestions On Taking B12
ereneeh replied to Melissa Attwood Sturgill's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I found liquid B12 at this website. http://www.vrp.com/energizers/b12-methylcobalamin The liquid is cinnamon flavored. Tastes pretty good. I believe when I bought them last, I bought 2 bottles and got 1 free. 1 4 oz bottles lasts about 4 months. -
My feet didn't get smaller, just not so fat and swollen. So my feet aren't any shorter but my shoes swim on me now. I do love TJ Maxx and Ross. My personal motto is "Never pay full price for anything". I wish I had a Macy's close. I was quite excited finding a couple of tops on clearance at Kohl's. They are Vera Wangs. I have never been able to wear anything she made. Cool NSV.

I have lost 82 lbs and have bought 4 pairs of pants. 2 pairs at Goodwill and 2 pair at TJMaxx. 2 of those pair I didn't buy until 50 lbs down and have moved past them. (Couldn't think of what to say because we used to say we outgrew our clothes. Woo hoo, no more of that) Thankfully I had kept my clothes from my last weight loss from 6 years ago, so I just keep pulling out more clothes. I have almost exhausted my supply though. I have bought tops for work because my shirts got too big. Don't buy anything until after surgery though. Then have fun.

Did they also do a hernia repair? If so, the stitch from the repair can cause this.

I'm Really Boring
ereneeh commented on tmorgan813's blog entry in A funny thing happend while I was loosing weight
Sliming is when your stomach is too full and there is no room for your saliva or stomach mucus. It just comes up. It's not like throwing up because there's no food, just slime. My Dr. says it's a no no because it means you ate too much. Gotta learn to stop one bit sooner. By the way, tmorgan, your life isn't so boring if you have a smelly doctor and people around you are talking about drugs. Sounds more exciting than my life. =^) Enjoy your postings. -

Sweet Potatoes From A Sweet Man
ereneeh commented on tmorgan813's blog entry in A funny thing happend while I was loosing weight
Search for Sliming on the forum. Ha Ha, Slimming is the great thing we are doing to our bodies every day. Basically, from what I can tell, because our stomachs don't hold much, when you put food in, all our gastric juices run to your stomach to digest what little is in there and since there is no room for the gastric juices, they slime right up and out. This is the tricky part. You have to take 1 less bite. It's been 7 months and I'm still trying to figure that one out. -
It's Midnight And I'm Hungry
ereneeh commented on tmorgan813's blog entry in A funny thing happend while I was loosing weight
I remember when I first starting feeling the same way. And I agree with you, it wasn't head hunger. At only 3 ounces capacity, imagine your stomach from 6:00pm-7:00am. That's a long time to have an empty stomach. I would eat a sugar free Popsicle and that would satisfy me. I ate a lot of those in the first 2 months. tmorgan813, I sure enjoy reading your humor. -
Statistics On Gastric Sleeve?
ereneeh replied to sgraff47's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have lost 82% at 7 months. 18 lbs. to go. Definitely coming off slower now. I agree with Kristy. Now it's our hard work and determination to get the rest off. -
I did it with pizza once while on mushies. It smelled too good but didn't want to hurt my stomach. Good to know we can all be brutally honest here. =^0

Grrrrr Come On Already
ereneeh replied to rodswife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Be patient. I started at a tight 18W, even wearing some 20W. After 60 lbs I was frustrated that I was only in a 16. Then within the next 10-20 lbs, I went to a 14 and now they are getting loose. Haven't tried a 12 yet, that's just too unbelievable to me. But the more you lose, the faster the sizes will change. As long as you feel good, be proud of yourself. It will come. -
Don't Understand Why I Can't Keep Anything Down?!?
ereneeh replied to mistyf6572's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went back to work 2 weeks after surgery and was having the same problem. The Dr. had given me generic Xanax for spasms and since I HATE to take medicine, I quit taking them right after coming home. Everything I ate or drank came right back up. The Dr's office told me I was having esophageal spasms. That's why he had given me the prescription. So I took the medicine for a few more days and they stopped. Hope this helps. -

What a great feeling to wear this dress. I got so many compliments Easter Sunday at church. Even wore platform shoes. -

Bummed - 67 Pounds Lost And I Look Just The Same
ereneeh replied to Cherrybomb's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Don't beat yourself up. I didn't see a big difference until I got to 55-60 lbs lost and then I pretty much skipped a size. I started at 18W, 16W, 16 and am now in size 14 after 77 lbs lost. I only wore size 16 for a couple of weeks and wow, they were suddenly too big. My size 14 are just now getting a little big. Every body shape is different. I carry my weight in my hips so I will never probably be smaller than a size 10-12. As long as you know the numbers and you feel great, be proud of yourself. -
Congratulations! You're on your way. My Dr. also repaired a hiatal hernia and I was told that they put a stitch in at the repair. That's the pain you feel. I will get better as the stitch heals. Small, small, sips. Try warm liquids. Trust me, I'm 6 months out and it does get better.

Anyone Looking For A Great Christian Doctor Or Undecided For Any Reason?
ereneeh replied to lighteningbug's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That is so awesome to hear. Especially in today's times when people are afraid to let anyone know their beliefs in business. Hope for a speedy recovery. -
My new favorite sushi is tuna, salmon, yellowtail, crab meat, white fish & avocado rolled in cucumber. My local sushi place calls it a cucumber special. No rice. I take all the cucumber off and eat the inside. Save the cucumber for later. Yummy!

Weigh The Same As When I Had Surgery
ereneeh replied to spadesmcloven's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
If you mean 258, you will have several pounds of fluid from the iv's. I went in weighing 240 and came home from the hospital weighing 250. I peed ALL night (at least 20 times, not kidding) and it took 2 days to get the fluids out. Then you'll start to see the loss. Congratulations and hang in there.
