Hi Wendy! Congratulations on your surgery date...that's so exciting! A friend of mine (MINI-Me) and I will be going to Vegas next Monday for our surgery on Wednesday, January 27th...we are SO EXCITED.

As far as follow-up care, all docs are different. Our surgeon is asking for a 2 week, 3 month, 6 month, 1 year and yearly thereafter for follow-up. I will be going to my PCP here in Seattle for many of those visits -- my surgeon just wants labs and a report. Do you have a PCP? Is he willing to provide follow-up care?

As far as a support group, we do have found one in Edmonds through Pacific Nutrition and Wellness. They have a Gastric Sleeve Support group as well as a more general weight loss surgery support group. We are actually going tonight -- it is from 7-8:30 and it is free. I will let you know how it goes. It might be a bit of a drive for you, but if you want to join us in February...that would be awesome. They meet once a month.
