Tastes like cardboard, looks awful. I would rather no have pasta. Use whole wheat in small amounts or spinach. Yes, they have flour, but at least they look like pasta!

One week should be fine unless you have a very strenuous job that involves a lot of lifting.

First of all they give you good drugs for the surgery. I did not have a lot of pain, but caution, do not take aspirin or aleve or ibuprofen It is not recommended for band patients. Liquid tylenol would be best. I only took prescrip pain meds two days. .

Hey girl! I was wondering how you were today. I just got a fill today. Now 5.6 in a 10 cc band. Don't get so filled you can't eat. Practice that will and want power and stop eating when you know you should. You have come too far to go back now!

Nervous is perfectly normal. I would be more worried if you were not worried. Very few Lapband surgeries go band, and then it is not fatal. You will be fine. Go find something to clean around the house to take you mind off of the surgery, or call a friend... Anything... Just do not obsess. NO stress, No worries!

Started Pre-Op Diet Today!
CHEZNOEL replied to Spaness2012's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congratulations... You will soon be on the other side! Best wishes for your pre-op and surgery. Do come back and let us know how things are going for you. -
I would personally wait. Two surgeries is too much, and you need to learn to live with your band right now, not add the stress of another surgery to the body.

Got to love those NSVs! Congrats!

Not banded, but looking for someone to talk to
CHEZNOEL replied to shanae42's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
We don't bite on this site, unless someone does something they really know they should not do. Then we can be honest and blunt. But we have lots of folks at various stages of the lap band. You might it most helpful to ask each new question in a new topic. That way it is easier for us to see when have asked something new. I have never regretted my decision. It is the best thing I ever did for myself. You are welcome to stay and learn and post whenever you like! It is actually a good idea to learn as much as possible before the surgery. Best Wishes. -
Do I have to say goodbye to chicken?
CHEZNOEL replied to fericito's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Chicken was my first solid protein. Never been a problem. Knock on wood, cause I just got a new fill today! LOL -
Congrats and welcome! I hope your recovery goes smoothly as well!

post op diet question
CHEZNOEL replied to jfelix90's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do not skip steps... The diet is to allow you to heal. If you can't stick to this what will happen later? Suck it up and just do it! -

30lbs on scale but dont relly see it
CHEZNOEL replied to lovely29's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can see the difference, and the scale does not lie. You may not see it yourself for a while. For me the brain was the last thing to catch up with the image. Keep up the good work. And the advice is NO, say nothing to others unless they ask you for advice. It may only embarrass them and make them feel even worse. Trust me from having been there. I KNEW I was huge, and would not have appreciated having it brought to my attention. -
I sipped a bit all day, and never felt hungry. Everyone is different. Some hunger pains are gas though, so you might try Gas-x and walking.
-
I take mine whole... I did have to go out and buy the mini calcium pills, but other than that no problem. Oh... and I had trouble with the big calcium before the surgery!

Ms Rhonda, it is absolutely normal to have all the thoughts and concerns you are having. I know I surely did. Gradually you will get used to what the new normal is and life will smooth out. We are here is you need to vent. CarolinaGirl just wants to you be happy, not sad. That's a good thing. She cares. She would never mean to offend you any way. She is a happy person and wants all of us to be happy. Realistically, it is not possible to be always happy, but it is good to look for the positive. As for burps, annoying in public yes, and embarrassing, but if it helps be me thinner and healthier, I say let em rip. My momma always told me better out than in! LOL. Hope things continue to settle down for you. You are doing very well so far!.

Tummy tuck and breast left on Tuesday 12/18
CHEZNOEL replied to FLORIDAYS's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
They should heal pretty flat. I had some places like that between my legs when I did a thigh lift, and the incision opened up. Takes a while to heal, but looks fine now. Slightly different texture than the rest of the scar line, but acceptable given it's location. You seem to be healing very well! -
Scared + Nervous = NORMAL! You will do great. We all felt that way, but I have never regretted the decision!

Harder than I Expected...
CHEZNOEL replied to CatLady0626's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Miralax and walk. Some of the pain could be intestinal. Don't let it go too long before you have a good BM. Benefiber did nothing for me. -
Walking and swinging my arms helped, and a heating pad on my back.
