Signs You've Had Enough to Eat

Sniffly nose! -
Hi everyone I'm new.... Can anyone help?
CHEZNOEL replied to Zingythingy's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Good decision. A small unfill can work wonders. -
Doggie bags to the rescue! I actually ask for mine when the dinner is served and set aside all but my band portion so I am not tempted to take extra bites!
-
Yes, unfortunately I have seen this too. It is sad, but I try to keep it in mind when I see someone who may need a bit of help, regardless or girth!

Stuck episode- no fluid in band
CHEZNOEL replied to conner281's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Retraining ourselves to take smaller bites is hard, but after 22 months, I mostly get it right now. Noticde the word "mostly." A lifetime a bad eating habits dies hard and even I forget sometimes, but Gladys (my trusty band conscience) is quick to remind me that I really don't want to do that! Best wishes to you. Chew, chew chew, and tiny bites, especially while you are still healing. -
my first week after surgery
CHEZNOEL replied to TinoKavas's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I hope it will be downhill weight wise for you! It will be hard work but you can do it if you are committed to change your lifestyle! -
Great article Jean as always! Yes we all cringe when we hear that lapband is the easy way out, but I cringe more at the newbies who seem to have bought into this notion. Losing weight is work, everything worthwhile is!

Ryan looks tough and you look fabulous! Keep up the good work!

Happy Labor Day Ladies!!!
-
It is called square clamshell... all the individual squares are 2" finished size in 7 x 7 squares per block and then the blocks are set "on point." It is a Kaffe Fassett pattern variation on an older pattern.

Sorry for the loss of milk! Have you tried the unsweetened almond milk? No dairy and lots of calcium!

Happy Weekend! Happy Labor Day!

BRB.... tonight or next July?

I thought Ms Maui was banned?

Janet... no one block wonder quilts with just one fabric. I would be interested to see yours when you do it! Dawn... novels are OK... I like to read... and read... and read.... LOL! Doreen... I always hated the start of a new school year and working out all the carpool stuff. I can be a stressful time. Carole... I will look for a good page to photo... I am not that creative in scrapbooks! Janet... lose the cane! So proud of your progress. Michele... send me a link for essential oils... or Janet you can! I found a recipe for homemade body scrub I would like to try out! Love you all! Played golf today and broke 100!

Pool party got cancelled, Disney scrapbook is done, but not fancy enough for pictures ladies. Doreen, so sorry to hear about your transportation woes on top of everything else that is going on. I hope Kaleb was not injured. It is too bad about your studies, but I understand priorities must be made. We will keep pushing you to go for it when the time is right. Carole... fall starting varies here from mid-September to early October, but leaves will likely not peak until late October. The rain usually means more color and less brown from drought. TIme will tell. Dawn, I hope you will begin to find a new routine for yourself, even if it involves packing up to move. We are all anxious to have you out of the ghetto! I hope things will quickly get better for Audrey, having her call and cry will not help our stress level at all! Take care of yourself! Michele, one set of studying done, and now the prep for the test. It is good you will be taking so soon after finishing your studies. What is new on the business front? Janet... ready for round two? What is the date again so I can send up my prayers for the surgery? Diane, keep the faith lady. We know life is not a bowl of cherries right now, but you will get through it somehow. You are stronger than you know. Eat right and give yourself breaks when you need them. How about Concord Mills in November? It is a longer drive for me, so I will need to stay overnight, shall I book a room with two beds? We could also do Ikea? Love to you all... now what shall be my next quilt project?

can anyone clarify..
CHEZNOEL replied to Georgia_Peach's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You need to check with your surgeon. They will tell you what you should be doing. It can be confusing at first, and they know that, so call away! -
One month post-op today!
CHEZNOEL replied to bandster12345's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congratulations to you both! -
I start every morning with a warm drink. Wait an hour and then eat.
-
Janet, I have made quilts with both grands. The younger one seems more interested in sewing though. We bought her a small machine a couple years ago. Time will tell! Back to my Disney scrapbook. I don't know why it is taking so much time! I am ready to quilt!
-
Janet, grands live about 15 - 20 minutes away, not a bad trip at all.

Had a really bad episode today, emergency visit to see my surgeon

Flying with the Lap Band
CHEZNOEL replied to zinhaa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been through full body scans lots of times. No problems. I have more trouble with forgetting to take off my watch! LOL! -
Thanks for sharing your experience.

Wow you doctor is strict after a fill, but it is a very safe approach. I don't drink a lot of coffee, but I did have tea after a fill. The warm liquids help to sooth the band area.
