Heard this on the radio this morning
CHEZNOEL replied to Summerrain's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use stevia with very good success. No spike in insulin. It was recommended by doc. -
We know what you meant to say!

I don't post for points or reputation. Impost because I want to participate. I like because I agree with a post. Count or no would not affect my behavior on the site. Are you in competition with someone? You post all over... Or are you like me just trying to contribute to others?

I know that I could not have reached my current weight and maintained. But you will have to do what is right for you. No one else can make that decision for you.

Getting banded in the morning
CHEZNOEL replied to cksweetpea's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nervous and excited.... perfectly normal. I wish the best! Come back and let us know how you make out post surgery. -
a book you reviewed on Amazon and then deleted the review. Cheryl is well and truly unhappy! She is convinced it was you.

I think I know the poster Ms Maui, and if you actually panned her book on Amazon that is why she is angry. LBT should not carry over to other venues

Oh my God I am starving
CHEZNOEL replied to lovely29's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think it could be hunger if it TOM. Eat a SF pudding cup or drink sf hot chocolate. The brain needs something to do to take you mind off to other things. I really doubt the band has slipped, but if you are concerned, call your doctor. They are there 24x7. -
Congratulations! Now the rest is up to you and how you help your band!
-
how do you really know?
CHEZNOEL replied to ErinSue2000's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just follow the pre-op and leave the rest to your surgeon. -
Haven't had steak since being banded, do you eat it?
CHEZNOEL replied to donna12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yep, no problem, but not well done and a very tender cut. No Flank steak! -
I agree with Maddysgram... I can handle just about anything. If the font is too small for my bifocals... well, I just don't respond. Or maybe that's what they wanted? Anyhow. To each his own.

I feel no need to sell the band to anyone but myself. For me, it was the right decision. I wanted a new lifestyle and a tool to help keep me on track. That's that the band is to me. What it does for anyone else is up to them.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

All of this lasts a short time in the greater scheme of things. Hang in there... the end results are worth it!

How Fast Do You Drink A Protein Shake??
CHEZNOEL replied to Betsy16049's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I usually take about 15 minutes, but I go slow intentionally to keep from rushing the rest of my meals. I use the slow speed for liquid or solid. -
New to forum, having surgery doubts
CHEZNOEL replied to Want2behealthy's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Especially for your height, I am sure you qualify for surgery. But, please, be sure that you do what is right for you. Your friends don't live in your body, you do, and only you know how that feels. I don't think any reputable surgeon would operate on you just to make money. It is pretty normal to be having pre-surgery jitters, and yes a see a lot of women on the forum in your height range getting surgery at your weight. Keep in mind, my ticker says 256, but I am 5'9" tall. Take a 9 inch slice through the middle of your body and guess what it might weigh. That is why surgery is based on BMI. Your starting point is about where I was there. In short... it is your life and you have to do what is right for you. Your friends and family may be concerned about you. Take them to a seminar or pre-surgery meeting to learn the facts about the band. Many do not truly understand it.
