Stuck Episode and drinking too fast....
CHEZNOEL replied to Kimbergro's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is different for us all... be careful with bread on the egg salad sandwich. I cannot each bread untoasted at all! -
Keep up the good work. Try to limit meals to 1 cup, and go easy on crackers.

Ask your doctor. We are all different.

At least you do not have 62 years of bad habits to overcome, only 14. Best wishes for a better life!

Anyone else have a problem
CHEZNOEL replied to dani_nyc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think we believe eggs are soft so don't think about small bites and chewing. I can't eat bread. We are all different and unique. What works for one will not work for all! -

Port want to come out stabbing pain
CHEZNOEL replied to balbuquerque's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would wait at lest 2 weeks before lifting more than 5 pounds. -
Interesting story, but don't give up hope. I know folks who have lost over 100 pounds with no fill, just by following the portion sizes and eating healthier stuff.

Think of plication as a gastric sleeve without the sleeve and without the cutting of stomach. Basically the large portion of the stomach is folded in on itself and stitched into place. The resulting shape is somewhat banana like. The theory is that it give you some of the advantages of the gastric sleeve along with the lap band and results are similar. Greater weight loss than band alone.

Good for you!

Yep... or a dime. YOU are likely stuck

Biotin, B50 and Zinc will help with regrowth. There are two culprits here... the actual anesthesia and the rapid weight loss. In my case it all filled back in. Still taking the supplements mind you... you can never be too confident! LOL

The rule of thumb is if it hurts, change positions. Depending on your port location that area could be sore for a while.
-
The food passes through the band as you eat if you take small enough bites and chew well. The stoma... portion above the band is not the measure of how much you eat. Just follow your surgeons guidelines and you will be fine.

I voted... good luck! -
Weight loss does slow as we near the goal weight. Less to lose so to speak. Stick with your portions and exercise and measure yourself. When you are not losing pounds you could be losing inches.

Need Daily Weigh-in Email Buddy
CHEZNOEL replied to losangelesislovely's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You are the one who reads rude into a post. Those of us who respond are truly trying to help. It was a recommendation, like all things on the forum, you pick and choose what you want to use. No need to attack someone who is trying to be of help and takes the time to respond to your post. Like I said in my second post, you should do what works for you. Peace! -
If it works it is good. Congratulations on the not drinking part too. That was really hard for me. I still forget sometimes in a restaurant if the helpful waiter has brought me water I did not order! Keep it up. The extra work is worth it!
-
Amazing progress... keep up the good work! Yes, unfortunately the brain is slow getting the message. Pictures do help! Congratulations.

Three Weeks Post Op & Pain Under Left Rib Cage - HELP!!!
CHEZNOEL replied to jennifernj's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It could very well be that you are not moving your bowels enough. Drink plenty of liquids and add Miralax, or Benefiber if need be. Getting impacted is serious stuff.
