I would look into water exercise or recumbent bike for a while and take the stress off the knee.

Super NSV! Rock on! -
For the lactose intolerant, I mix my protein powders in Almond milk... tastes great, check for a powder without lactose though.
-

Cramping on Right Side Under Ribs
CHEZNOEL replied to jennbrenna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Call the doctor. -
Unfortunately fills will not help with head hunger. You might consider counseling for that. If you are not hungry for 4 hours, the band is working. You are supposed to be hungry, when it is time for another meal. Just try something else to do if it is head hunger.

Healing takes everyone a different amount of time. Keep following the diet and log your foods on a tool like MyFitnessPal.
-
Following the pre-op diet is important to shrink your liver to make it easier for your surgeon to place the band. Some will refuse to operate if you have not done a good job following the diet. It is just the beginning, and it may get worse before it gets better until you get back to solid foods. Make sure you are committed to see it through. Failure should not be an option!

Depression after major surgery and anesthesia is not uncommon. Some people actually have a period of mourning food.
-
Ahh... nice to look at but I prefer skilled at the surgery! LOL!

Is your port on that side? Or maybe the tubing? Keep after the doctor for an answer.

Congratulations on getting your approval and date. It is a really good idea to try out the diet ahead of time and see what things you like and don't like. If you do eat food, follow lapband eating guidelines, small bites, lots of chewing, and no drinking while eating. It helps to start to practice the skills. Best wishes.

Prayer going up! Best wishes!

Put the exercise back in and consider making your lunches again and that should help you get back on track!

Lap Band vs Lap Band Plication
CHEZNOEL replied to MsGal's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my lap band with plication surgery in October of 2011. I believe it does improve overall weight loss. -
Perfectly normal and will go down as you heal further.

NSVs are great ANY time of day!

Janet, check out the website www.christianlanequilters.com. They sell whole cloth backing fabric with no seams.
-
Yes, I tend to wash their fabric before using it... they have a lot of stiffener in it. Just warm Water is all you need, no Cheer! LOL.
-
Long story Michele, but I have been there on a boat and the handle hit me in the face and knocked be down the stairs. Two bruised ribs and a black eye. You won't catch me using those suckers again!
-
Best wishes to you as well.
