    Today has been rough

Try a warm drink first thing in the am. My band is always tight in the mornings.
  2. Eat it, log it, and move on. Try the Weight watchers frozen yogurt Popsicle or Yasso.

    Back pain post-op

Are you having regular bowel movements? If not ask your surgeon what to take. Being stopped up can cause the symptoms you mention.

    Eat before fill?

Mine doc did not care, but like Missy, I did not eat just before.

    A New Day

Hope everyone is having a good day. Sad for Carole and Jack ab out Sushi, but hopefully being around family helps. Safe travels home. Janet, when is Ange's baby due? Inquiring minds! I will try a warm drink in the am... I don't like coffee, so maybe tea for me! Dawn... mighty quiet up there... how's the back? Doreen, we are all thankful that Charlie came out with a new chance at a better life. I know with your help he can make the changes he needs to make. Might even help the kids learn to eat healthy. Something besides pickles! LOL! Diane, hope life is being good to you and you are eating better. Been watching your MFP posts to keep an eye on you. Michelle... how is your son handling the Tourette's now? How goes football practice? Skinny Mini... I like it! I am stuck at 180, but sticking with it and walking every day. Some days I forget the Fitbit though, sigh.

    Fasting...Fast

I don't call your current activity a true fast, but it will be good practice for the pre-op and post-op diets. True fasting... water only is dangerous over the long haul. You are having surgery so you can learn to eat normal foods and me a normal person. It is a life change, but not a life time diet.

    Broke that Barrier!

Congratulations on a wonderful milestone. Keep up the good work!
  11. Not the pre-op diet... Call your regular doctor for a visit.
  12. I would suggest at least a small unfill. If you cannot eat well chewed solid foods you are too tight.
  13. CHEZNOEL

Do you eat more than 3 meals?

Sounds to me like a fill would be helpful. Are you tracking your calories on something like My Fitness Pal? That will allow you to adjust for calories burned with exercise. It sounds like a lot of food to me.
  14. All great suggestions. As you progress to solid food, a good low carb protein bar will help as well.

    Looking for mentor and/or buddy

Just ask what you need to know. Everyone here has experience to share. Mine first is follow your surgeon's and nutritionists orders and guidelines.

    Pain

Yes port pain is common. I can also recur even after over a year with excess abdominal work or lifting.

    A New Day

Band is behaving...except in the am. I have a tough time with getting all my pills down. I usually do them first and then Breakfast. Have now tried the inverse, still a struggle. I may shift pills to lunch time! LOL mornings are not good for the Calcium and I already use the minis. And no... I HATED the chewables so I will struggle on! LOL Prayers for Sushi, Ange, Charlie, Doreen, and everybody else. God is good!
