Discomfort after stuck episode
CHEZNOEL replied to Wgbem's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stick to liquids for a day. I found that warm tea or hot chocolate with protein worked well. -
Is the port site swollen or are you just feeling the port itself. On many people it does protrude, which generally means it will be easy to find for fills.

I don't this this is quite the way it works. If you truly stretch your pouch it stays stretched. -

Be honest with your therapist and you will get through this. I am sorry your family is not a part of it and I know that must hurt. It is your life, and you have taken steps to make it better. Congratulations.

So sorry this happened to you. I would definitely wait and do the fill under xray so there is no more searching around. This is only a minor setback, you can continue to lose weight without the fill if you focus on portion sizes. Put it behind you and enjoy the holidays.

Brand new and freaking out....
CHEZNOEL replied to Stephleupagus's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pain meds and anesthesia can leave you weepy and causes hormonal changes. Everyone goes through a bit a second guessing themselves, I know I did. That said, the band is best thing I have ever done for myself and my health. This stage will pass soon and you will be able to eat your old favorites foods, in lower quantities. -
Having trouble stopping eating ...
CHEZNOEL replied to dreamers's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have to stop. I know, it is easier said than done, but you need to train your body to accept the smaller amount of food. Bump up the protein content and try drinking warm liquids in between. You have to really WANT the band to work. Do or do not, there is no try. Soon yesterday and today will become last week and this week, at which point you have reverted to pre-band eating. Make the sacrifice for your health now! -
Congratulations on giving yourself the gift of health.
