I was a coffee drinker prior to surgery and still am after surgery. I was banded 13 months ago and I am down 100 lbs. On the way home from the hospital I stopped to get some coffee. I can't imagine life without coffee.

I just had my gallbladder removed yesterday. When I woke up from surgery I was in a lot of pain. More than expected. They kept giving me more pain meds and I was still in pain. I recovered fast and had hardly no pain after the lap band. I was expecting the to have roughly the same amount of pain as I had with the lap band which wasn't that much. Has anyone had their gallbladder removed after having lap band and if so how did the pain compare from one surgery to another? Thanks.

About 3 years before I had my lap band surgery I started having panic attacks. I was too afraid to exercise because I did not want to raise my heart rate. I ended up in the ER 3 times before I accepted that I was having only having a panic attacks and not dying from a heart attack. I was put on anxiety meds saw a therapist. I am currently still on the meds. I don't have panic attacks anymore but I still expirence anxiety from time to time. I don't think my weight had anything to do with the anxiety.

I was on the Depo shot many years ago and I never had a period while in it.

I had to do the same thing. Make sure you go to all of your appointments because the insurance company can denie you for approval.

I had bad shouldering pain for about 2 weeks after surgery. I am 6 months out and I still get it after I eat to much.

I have a hard time with oranges, lettuce, and asparagus. Everything else seems okay for me.

When in March?

Is it bright red? Could be fissures ( no sure if I spelled it correctly) or hemorrhoids.

I used slim fast low carb and they were okay but I prefer the costco pre made protein shakes which I still drink 5 months after surgery.

I am only 5 months out and I still get shoulder pain especially if I eat to much. My Dr. said I t's referred pain coming from the diaphragm.

I also had my lap band done by Dr. Oliak and I am thankful that I chose him.

I was banded on August 31 2011. I have had 3 fills with a total of 6 mls in a 10 ml band. I have been lucky and I have not had any stuck issues.

Today I had my first slice of pizza since surgery (August 31, 2011). It tasted wonderful! I just took very small bites and went down fine. I ate less than half of the whole slice and then just picked off the cheese from the rest of the slice. My band has 4.5 mLs. I don't feel like I have much restriction.

I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and so far so good. The gas pains are gone and I feel good. I still have moments when I still second guess my decision to be banded. It is a process to get used to but each day gets better. I luckily have not had any problems with food getting stuck. My band was filled with 4.5 mLs during surgery and my band holds 10 mLs. I can drink liquids with ease. I am worried about getting a fill. I may choose not to get one for right now. I am comfortable with the amount of food I can eat, I feel satisfied, and reading some of the posts about fills make it seen unpleasant. I am down 25lbs now and still losing!

I lost 22 lbs in 2 weeks. My doctor didn't seem concerned so I guess its okay.

I was banded on August 31th. I have been craving ham and pineapple pizza and tuna sandwiches. Crazy because my favorite food is mexican.
