Jess, that totally blows. I am so sorry. Look at is as a blessing, Sometimes you just have to. Nothing is more stressful than losing your lively hood. Look at it as an opportunity for you to learn and practice stress management skills. See blessing. You have so much 'me' time right now. I pray that all your financial concerns are taken care of. J

Yea at feeling more confident. It's funny @ healthy change. Just having the lapband has given me more confidence. I can't wait to see the difference a 50 pound loss will have. I won't be able to stand myself...

Hmmm, never heard of the bumpy lip syndrome. Not so sure about that. Maybe they smacked you to wake you up. But breathing tube sounds a lit better. Did they just strap it on all reckless? I'm sorry that happened. Call them and ask them.

Thanks. There was no saliva. I ate the lasagna and was fine. About 6 hours later when I went to get in bed. My stomach felt like It was going to explode. I got cramps and bad bad bad pressure down low in my stomach. The band is not down low. there was no saliva just pain, bloating and pressure. I am done with testing this band. I just thought it was weird that I could feel nothing when I ate. I hope my band forgives me.

How do I know if I'm eating too much? Where should I feel discomfort? Is it different for everyone? Should I be feeling it in upper abdomen, mid abdomen or lower abdomen? What do each of those areas mean if I feel discomfort in them? The problem Is I don't know if I'm uncomfortable because of eating or because of surgery. I am 6 days out and still taking pain Meds. I have no restriction. Today I ate 2 eggs with a Gortons fish filet patty. It took about 15 minutes. I Ddnt feel uncomfortable. 3 hours later I had a half a cup of lasagna. Felt great. Am I missing something? Please let me know your thoughts. J

Cut on your lip??? I'm pretty sure that's not part if banding. My advice take the Meds and walk walk walk. If they make you sick ask the Dr for anti nausea Meds. And walk walk walk I hope you feel so much better. J

Ok peeps, I was trying to keep this rated pg but you 'perves' are making It difficult. For the record I am not taking about swallowing, necessarily, I'm talking about the gag reflex. If I can swallow that snack pack diet pudding I can prolly swallow anything. Ugh its gross.

More pain day 2 post op. Why? I had no pain until today. Today is day 2 post op. I had little to no pain yesterday and minimal right after surgery. Granted I forgot and lifted 3 bags of groceries about 4 Vitamin waters in each bag. Should I call doc or just rest cannot lift. Pain isn't extreme, just didn't exist before. Any ideas?

@jachut, Is that what I experienced, bp'ing? I thought that included saliva and other unmentionable liquids. Could you please explain.

Cindy, To answer your question God didn't make me fat I did. I repented and asked him to help me lose the weight. He did via lapband. If you want to argue with God go ahead but you are going to lose.

It's fascinating that none of you tested the limits of your band. Your self control is remarkable. Moving forward, I found out what it feels like. Won't be testing band limits anymore. Incidentally, I don't like lasagna anymore. It was the worse sensation and pain. I was scared. I thought my stomach was going to blow up. On all liquids now. J
