Lisa, There is no one recipe. Do whatever works for you. So many people think there is a "catch all" or one equation for success. This I believe is why diets fail us and why weightloss Is such big business. You can have two people doing the exact same diet and exercise with different results. Also, muscle weighs more than fat. So during that time of no weightloss for you, you may have gained muscle and lost fat. Congrats on your two pound loss and hope you continue to do well.

Time off ranges from 2 weeks to 2 months. It really depends on the person and their health.

ACM, take the Meds. Pain is different for different people. I'm 2 weeks out and I still have pain. (But then I was told I have a fubroid on my last office visit). The pain started getting better about the 8th or 9th day. J

Definitely phone the Dr. That is not something to take lightly. Making it thru the night does not sound like an option.

Where is my port hiding? Shouldn't there be an incision near it? Only have 2 incisions: a big one and a little one...No port. And this hideous, random pain, when will that leave? Don't mean to sound so whinie but it hurts. Hurts bad. Not like having a baby bad more like why did you lie to me and say the pain is no big deal. That's like women saying after you have the baby you forget all about the pain. Have the baby and I remember the pain in contrasted detail. This lapband is, so, worth it but it stings Like hell healing.

Drsmossy, I lost my smile a long time ago. Had nothing to smile about bcz this weight was hurting me, literally. I couldn't enjoy life bcz of pain and exhaustion. When you look in the mirror next time remember bcz you are thinner you will have more time to figure out different things that make you happy now. You have a whole new life in front of you waiting to happen. I'm only 12 days out and I'm finding my smile again.

I didn't have gas pain. I took gas x. My store didn't have the strips so I chewed the capsules. They had mint inside which was a pleasant surprise. I didn't swallow the capsules, just chewed them till I had to spit them out. Worked miraculously. Any gas pain that tried to come I walked out. Farted and burped a lot. I Farted once and my 14 year old son said "mom that was awesome." I was in my bedroom and he was in the living room. Must be nice to be 14.

I cheated big time. So not worth it. I felt like my stomach was going to explode, literally. It was so painful too. If you must cheat eat cream Soups. DON'T DO IT, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
