What Are You Going To Do Now?

I find myself asking the same questions sometimes. Only unlike you prior to surgery I didn't have a bf or kids. I still have no kids, but I have met and gotten engaged to the most wonderful man, so he fills a lot of my time now. I also go to school part time (although with taking 3 classes it might as well be full time it feels). I still haven't figured out a major exactly, but it's either going to be something with english or nutrition. Find time to do something for yourself. Do something small maybe like get a pedicure every two weeks or go for a walk.. Take pictures of the beautiful fall scenery. Do something for YOU! And congratulations on all you have accomplished!
  5. Wanted to stop by and see how you are doing. Hope all is well.

  6. I feel like a new person :)

  7. I am a little over 10 months post op. In that time I have MAYBE taken the equivalent of 1/2 cup of diet soda. My favorite soda was mountain dew- but the diet version is gross so I just don't bother with it. I do drink a medium light ice coffee with equal almost everyday from Dunkin Donuts. It's my guilty pleasure of the day and helps keep me regular in other ways.

    Dating A Sleeved Person

I can totally relate to this issue. I can say that as I lost weight I gained the confidence to start dating again. And who did I end up meeting and clicking with? A darn-it-all chef. He figured it out before I actually came right out and said I had surgery. He has been totally supportive and tries to find creative ways to cook foods I can eat. He has asked some questions about the future. ie. how will this surgery effect my ability to have a healthy pregnancy. We've talked it over and he understands everything and has become my best friend. Almost three weeks ago he got down on one knee. You can successfully meet someone who will love you for you and not care about your surgery. You will have to be comfortable answering their questions because if you have a future with that person they are going to want to know how it will effect the future.... Especially if he wants to have kids with you. But, I'd just enjoy dating and take it as it comes. Don't lie about your surgery- remember that up until the decision to get married or start a family it is probably the best decision you have made. Embrace it!
  13. I promise you if you don't give up on your surgery you'll see in a few months you will have way more energy and more capable of tackeling these issues. You'll feel better about yourself and that spills over into all areas. When your daughter sees you happy she will grow up happier as well.

    Diet Coke

I love diet snapple and propel!! Nice icy cold glass and I'm a happy girl. I'm nine months post-op and tonight at dinner I thought about having a little glass of orange soda- until I read the nutrition label!! 12 oz = 190 calories and 50 carbs!!!!!! Reality check!!
