    Messed Up Cycle?

Hi ladies!! Time for yet ANOTHER period question! I have PCOS so I know that plays a large part in my cycle issues... Priot to surgery I hadn't had a period for 4 months... I'm now 2.5 months post op and working on my 4th period in that amount of time... How long did it take for your cycle to get back to normal? I'm starting to feel drained from just the thought of another period!

    Orange Juice

Ja- I love a CL strawberry, banana, orange I think it is... It's VERY yummy. I've also done the tropicana 50 post op. Just a few sips at a time is enough to take care of the craving. The small individual size bottle lasted me almost a week!

    Today I Am Thankful For....

Go you!! I don't think I felt like doing anything at all until day 5- and cooking certainly wasn't one of the things I did that day!

    Today I Am Thankful For....

It's totally worth it!! Keep up the good work!
  5. You're doing fine! Who knows how much fluids they pumped you full of in the hospital. Who knows how long it took your body to get rid of those fluids. And as far at the differences in the scale go- sometimes they're just dumb! We know this!! HaHa

Advice ! 4 Weeks Post Op

I know that around my 3rd week I hit a stall that lasted a little over two weeks. I fluctuated back and forth between two pounds gained or lost and it was frustrating! As yummy as soup is and as easy as it goes down- sometimes I think it isn't that good for us. We're told not to drink with our meals (which is exactly what you do with most soup) and it's hard to get a soup that has enough protein. I often wonder that if you take a chili or something that does have more protein if the liquid part flushes it through too quickly..... Idk......
  7. Thank you for being you!

    Pcos Resolution Post- Surgery?

Well, I was sleeved 12/5. Prior to surgery my last period was in August... Within 4 days of surgery I finally had one and was so happy I could cry.... Today- although thankful for it I can't wait for it to get regular! I'm on my 4th period since surgery 2.5 months ago!

    2 Month Post Op Update

Awww I'm so happy for you! I hope that you quickly end up being thankful for your sleeve! I don't expect you'll ever be thankful for the bad but I can't wait for you to start experiencing some of the joy my sleeve has brought me! And ya know- we really don't live that far apart from each other. I'll be down your way on the 29th- maybe we can grab a bottle of water lol

    Eggface Love It But

Hey Alex, what is there for iphone users? I've tried to find an app before but didn't find anything that was as nice as this site.
  12. Good luck to everyone starting their jouney this day!

  13. I never did HCG but I am 2.5 months post-op. Head hunger is the only real hunger I've experienced. Sometimes I feel empty and I know it is time to eat, but I can't say I've been hungry. Often times the word hungry leaves my mouth for lack of a better word to express to others what I am feeling.
  14. Good luck today! I'll be thinking of you and can't wait to get home tonight and hopefully see and update that you are feeling better :)

    If You Had Sleep Apnea...

LoserMama, it does sound as if your bes bet would be to get in touch with a pulmonologist. What area of the country are you in? I know climate and altitude can have something to do with the settings as well.
  16. I'm about 2.5 months post op. Protein and VITAMINS are very important! I get tired out of no where some days- but since switching my vitamins last week I feel.... just better some how. Should be interesting to see how I handle yet another week as a manager and a full time student... But you will love your sleeve! It is totally worth it!
  17. Welcome to the VST family!

    Great Restaurants

I jus had white chicken chili for the first time over the weekend. On a spur of the moment I decided to see what the soup of the day was at the grocery store and that's what they had. It was so yummy!!
  19. Now that I can eat fruit again, I didn't know which fruit I wanted to start with most!! Answer to the problem- fruit salad! MMMM!!

    Caloric Intake

Right now my nutritionist has me eating 2 servings of fruit a day. I am 11 weeks post op tomorrow. I met with her last week and after talking about my energy levels she suggested doing the 2 servings a day as the carbs from the fruit should help with energy. She said to make sure I have in those two servings of fruit BEFORE reaching for a vegetable. I admit, I'm not perfect and sometimes it's hard to get in all the protein and fruit- but I'm going to ask her if 100% fruit juice with no added sugars can count... That way it helps up my fluid intake as well.

    Liquids After Surgery-- Please Help.

I have struggled with fluids since my surgery 12/5/11. I've tried EVERYTHING to get in more fluids. Low calorie gateraid helped, but once I discovered Propel it's been a cake walk! I don't know what it is about Propel but I find it so easy to drink! I like the flavors and can drink it ice cold or room temperature.

    Caloric Intake

I'm not sure we should have a calorie goal as we lose. My nutritionis and surgeon both won't give me an answer when I've asked them. They just tell me that I should focus on getting in all of my protein and fluids and the rest we will worry about once I've lost all the weight. *shrugs*
  23. Hope all is well in your world. Would love to see you around here again :)

  24. When I started this journey I had 160 pounds to lose. I was overwhelmed and already feeling like a failure. Today, I'm only 87 pounds away from my goal and I feel like nothing will stop me! Further more- I think will do it in about a year!
