The gnc lean shake or whatever it's called is very good. The pre made one is best in my opinion way less carbs if you're trying to watch carbs.

I have had my band for almost 1 year now for the past 3 months I've lost and gained the same 3-4 pounds over and over. I've lost about 60 pounds so far but am frustrated. Since January I've had 4 fills with about 3 unfills. I was so tight then not tight enough with vomiting and only being able to eat slider foods. And now I'm kind of able to eat but I do tend to throw up sometimes. But anyways I'm just frustrated I guess I just need to stick with softer proteins to keep them down. Gah idk any advice?

Experience With Tricare West And Lap Band ?
DaWnGo replied to gypsy_rose's topic in Insurance & Financing
I had Triwest for my lap band one of their main requirements is being 100 pounds over weight other then that it was pretty straight forward. If I remember correctly it should say in the Triwest handbook thing. I can't find mine atm to look for you. Good luck! -
Little Nervous About Lap Band Insurance - Medicaid In Connecticut
DaWnGo replied to Violet953's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I've worked in a medical office in CT and in general if they do not approve a procedure and you get it anyways it probably won't be covered. But if the office scheduled a date that would most likely lead me to believe they did their part to get your pre-approval and if it's approved you should know soon. Good luck with everything! I hope it all works out. -
Submitting to insurance?
DaWnGo replied to Damander's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had tricare for my surgery and I don't know when they submitted but there was no issues as long as you met tricare's guidelines for surgery. which I don't remember what they were at the moment but I had no issues with them. Good luck! -
After my last fill which was 4 days ago I still can't eat solid protein unless I force myself to keep it down. I can eat some deli meats, but even that rough and I can do one thin slice. So other then my 24 hour liquids after my fill all I can eat is salad and curtons and my piece of deli meat. I plan on trying fish tomorrow. Only because I still don't feel I have that much restriction in my band but is that only because I can't get the protein in? Can anyone think of any other sources of protein besides chicken/turkey and shakes?

I have been reading a few forum threads and came across some where people stated that they had a hard time finding a doctor to take a transfer patient. I will be moving out of the state in a month and now I'm nervous I won't be able to find a doctor to do my fills and follow up care. Whats worse is due to the nature of my husbands job I won't know until a week before moving where we are even going. So has anyone else moved and had issues finding a clinic/doctor to take transfer patients or have you had no issues with this? Thanks!

I feel kind of bad. I got a fill two days ago and it's kind of tight I can't eat much everything gets stuck. So tonight my husband wanted some chicken for dinner and wanted me to eat it so I forced it down by drinking big gulps of water. Is this bad? I didn't want him to feel bad because he thought I would be able to eat it. and now I still feel it in my throat.
