  1. I'm only a little over a week post surgery so I can only imagine how cold I'll get. I work in an office that is notoriously freezing and I've found 2 really helpful things. One, I sit on a heating pad (keep my behind warm and toasty) and two, in addition to the space heater I have a heated throw blanket that I keep under my desk and when I'm sitting at my desk I pull it up over my legs (so no one sees it) and ..... Ohhhhhh it is soooooooooo nice and warm!!!!! I love my space heater but for me there is just something about the warmth right there next to my skin that really warms me up. Give it a try if you're struggling!

    17th - 20th Sleevers

Good Luck to you all!! I'm so excited for you. I'm just over a week out and went shopping for a couple hours today, WooHoo!!!
  3. Hello, my name is Lisa. I was sleeved on 10/11. I'd like to formally request a seat on the losers bench. I do not really have any qualifications other than recently being sleeved, however, I have always been an OVERACHIEVER on the gainers bench. Of course I'm being somewhat silly ... but I am so happy to be on the other side of the fence now that I had my surgery. Seemed like a long time coming. Surgery went well, pretty uneventful. I'm recovering fine, still shocked at how little I can consume and at the fact that I have zero hunger. My primary focus right now is sipping Water, walking, Vitamins, Protein and some rest. Happy Sunday to everyone! YAAAAAAAAAAY FOR MY SLEEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sleeved!

So glad you are home and feeling better! Congrats on the weight loss!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I wore the hospital gown but brought a robe with me. I got one with short sleeves that were wide enough (to account for iv tubes etc.) and that zippered down the front ... oh and was long enough to cover my behind! It worked out perfectly! I also brought my crocs for walking the halls but they gave me those socks with the treads on the bottom and I never wore my crocs. Good luck with your surgery!!!
  6. I had my final appointment with the surgeon today. I walk into the office and talk to the office manager first and I get more info on the surgery date, I already knew it was 10/11 but he told me surgery is at 7:30am and I need to be there at 5:30 and all that other stuff. I thought I was handling it all well. I thought I had everything under control ... I guess that was where I made the mistake! After telling me about the day of surgery he brings me back and takes my blood pressure (which is always low). He didn't tell me what it was but his response was, "ummm are you feeling ok? Are you nervous or excited or something? I'm going to need you to take some deep breaths and try to calm down". HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I was trying to appear so calm, cool and collected but I guess inside I was freaking out! After my appointment I head back to work with my new Optifast shakes that I need to start drinking. I drink part of a bottle of Water and then try to pour the vanilla powder into the bottle. It wasn't going so well so I made a funnel out of paper ... that didn't work so well either so I tried to pour it again and I'm pretty sure that half of the white powder spilled all over the carpet and my jeans. The worst part is, I CAN'T GET IT OFF THE CARPET OR MY JEANS! It honestly looks like a drug deal gone bad at my desk right now. I'm hopeful that things will get better from here!
