I don't know if anyone actually reads this but after being denied for lapband surgery back in 2011 I was approved in 2012. I did ok with the surgery initially losing about 30 pounds including the pre-op diet. It went downhill after that as I could not tolerate the fills, had frequent vomiting and stomach pains. My Surgeon who did the lap band surgery was not at all empathetic to my situation in my opinion and treated me more like a liability than a patient. I was referred to a surgeon who advised that I consider revising to the Gastric Bypass and did not see the need for gall bladder removal like my previous surgeon had suggested. I am on the road to my journey post Gastric Bypass which was done in October of 2014. You may take the long road to your dreams and goals but as long as you get there embrace the victory. God bless you.
