I was asked by the hospital where I had surgery (Summit Medical Center in Van Buren, AR) to do a photoshoot for a marketing campaign to promote the WLS program. I don't have the real pics yet, but someone snapped a cell phone pic fom the side. This was a huge NSV for me. I felt like a model and it was really fun!
I recommend everyone doing something like this for yourselves. You could go to Portrait Innovations or even Walmart portrait studios for very little $, but we all have SO much to be proud of!
A few other pics....
My FIRST 5k!!
Two legs in one!
My new size SMALL workout pants! (never thought I would be in a small anything!)
The before shot for comparison sake...
Good job Looking great keep it up

Hello all, I have a family member that is wanting info about requirements with Cigna! I am not able to find any info on the Cigna website, I know it is there somewhere. If anyone could tell me the link or how to navigate the cigna site to find it. I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks
I have cigna and my plan required me to have 6 months of documented diet and exercise by my PCP. plans vary so you may just want to call them. they also required me to have a bmi of 39 with a comorbidity. i hope this helps.

I am such a ball of nerves especially for the fact that my surgery is not until at least 5 pm tomorrow...what to do all day? Anyway, i have never felt so many emotions at one time. How did everyone deal with "the day before" jitters? Thanks all.
I wasnt scared or jittery at all I was just so excited that it was finally happening. I did have alot of emotion but I was so happy to be beginning my new life journey. Don't be scared this is all still fresh to me. I just had my surgery on Tuesday Sept. 6th. I feel great and honestly if i didnt have the surgery sites i wouldnt even feel like i have had surgery. I never used the pain meds I had filled. The worst thing is this liquid diet to me its harder after surgery because your just so tired of the shakes. I hate that you have to wait until 5 pm why is he doing a surgery so late in the day? Just don't worry its going to be A O.K. and i will be here you can message me anytime you want hun.

Hey everyone, I will be getting the sleeve done in October, and I want to plan very far ahead. I am hoping some vsgers can help me make a checklist of things I am going to need post surgery.
Thanks everyone!
I'm on my second week of the liquid diet. I suggest if you have to do the diet you start cutting back on sugars and food before you have to do the diet and don't try and do it cold turkey its very hard and you have to be determined and have a made up mind. So far I haven't cheated but have had several break downs where my hubby had to take me to Walmart and walk me through the struggle of wanting to eat something anything it gets bad but hang in there. You can do it.
