I'm 50, took one full week off after surgery, then went back to desk job for half days for 2 weeks. So glad I took the half days...biggest issue was exhaution! Still have to take a quick nap after work so I can function; good luck to you! ♡

I am really enjoying this book: Think yourself Thin by Debbie Johnson. ♡

Hi,I am 6 days post-op, still on clear liquid diet. Trying, trying to get 60g protein each day, but getting more like 40 if I'm lucky. Pain is now very bearable even without meds. Was hoping to get back to work after my follow-up Tuesday, but, omg, I am just EXHAUSTED!! Also, finding it hard to sip water unless it's VERY icy and cold. Anyone else feel like this?

Exhausted! 6 days post-op
SugarCali replied to SugarCali's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
8 days post-op and actually feel so much better! Finding it easier to sip more Water finally and get min. 40g Protein really helps. My doctor is the best! Showed up for my follow up Tuesday and was greeted with a Protein shake, and when I left, they gave me one for the road. It really helped me feel less nauseous and tired ♡ -

Back to work Monday.... not excited
SugarCali replied to Learningtolive's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Glad to hear your dad is better! I have a desk job, so hoping my back to work transition goes smoothly. My main issue 6 days post-op is that I am just exhausted all day! -
Water/Protein is a full time job
SugarCali replied to DeletedMember's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Who would have thought it would be so hard to sip water??? I keep bottles ALL over: on each bathroom counter, on my nitestand, on the coffee table...just as constant reminders, but it's a real effort to take even just one sip. 6 days post-op and exhausted, so KNOW I have to keep at it! -

Band revision, pre-op for RNY TOMORROW! Yikes!
SugarCali posted a topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
So excited, nervous, scared a bit, but mainly excited! Pre-op tomorrow and surgery Monday, the 21st. Happening very fast! Did not tell anyone about band when I got it 4 years ago, and haven't told anyone (but hubby) about this one; been on here quite a bit lately and love seeing all the positive vibes, encouragement. Wish me luck, xo -
My big day is March 21st!!! Good luck to you, would love support as well

Its calling me too! I've had my ups and downs: some days I feel like I've eaten healthy, and sensibly and am fine, others are like the old days, where I feel like nothing will satisfy me..... I haven't told ANYONE about my band. My husband told his brother, and his brother said, "the easy way out", so NOT true!

4 Weeks out and NO restriction = worry!!
SugarCali replied to NY Bandster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am on day 26---and am not feeling much restriction any more either. The first few days, 1/2 cup of Soup would fill me up. I have added chicken to my diet and it doesn't seem to fill me up....It has been a struggle. I find myself feeling like I want to eat. I have been trying to stick to the mushie-like food, like puddings and fudgsicles. I have been doing about 1200 calories a day, is that too much? It IS frustrating. I do not have an appt. for another TWO weeks too. I hate coming here to complain, because I find the positive posts SO encouraging, but am worried too. -
Hi, I was banded Sept. 2. For the past week I've been falling asleep on my back but waking up face down, on my stomach. Anyone else sleep directly on their stomach? If I try to when I am getting ready to sleep, it hurts too much, but end up waking up that way.... Just wondering, thanks!

11 Days Post Op and not losing....HELP!!
SugarCali replied to NY Bandster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 10 days post-op too. I refuse to weigh myself, anyone else like that? I figure I'll find out my weight when I go in for 2 week visit with doctor. I was bummed at first post-op visit since I lost nothing since pre-op appt.......I too was only on 3 days pre-op liquids; I don't think I would have survived 2 weeks! But maybe that helps you lose fast & keep you motivated? -
I don't know how, but I DID IT--passed up pizza & breadsticks!
SugarCali replied to Bertie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would have caved, I am terrified to be around food at all right now.... still have 2 weeks of just liquids....
