Have you tried Frank's Red Hot sauce? Mmmm I just love the mild heat and tangy flavour it adds to the chicken. I bake it in the sauce and then have more on the side to dip my chicken into. For a side dish have you cooked cauliflower and then pureed it into a pseudo mashed potatoe?

what clear liquids did you have
AutumnLily replied to jennifer6791's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
All these are good but dairy is a full liquid and not a clear liquid. I had sugar free popsicles, jello, broth, decaf tea, water. When I moved to full liquids then I had cream Soups and milk, thin yoghurt. -

I'm so scared to go to Mexico now.
AutumnLily replied to msleesa's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I went to Mexicali on my own and felt safe to walk the streets. There is another member who's mother said what do you want me to do with your body when you die in Mexico. Of course the member made it back safe and sound and is at goal and living life to the fullest. I am sure Dr. Kelly patients will fill you in on how safe they felt. -
What made you pick VSG instead of DS?
AutumnLily replied to SomethingClever's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The sleeve was the only choice for me. And as you see I am 4 months out and down 80 lbs. I am aiming to lose over 100 lbs for the 6 month surgiversary (and I know I will make it). It all boils down to what do YOU feel most comfortable with. Just know that you can revise from the sleeve to the DS, but you can not change from the DS to the the sleeve. -
Does anyone NOT know their weight?
AutumnLily replied to Karelia's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good that you are in tune with your body and looking for a way to lose weight for only a few reasons. I do however have to say that the sleeve is a tool and anyone can eat too many calories (slider foods) and gain back the weight. Yes the number to you on the scale is only a number but for some of us it is also a tool to remind us that we are not putting the correct fuel in our bodies and therefore gaining weight. The sleeve is a part of a lifestyle change. Just like your IE where you have accepted your body. Here we have to accept that certain foods in excess quantity will get us back to where we were. That being said I feel the sleeve is a wonderful tool. You have PCOS and a underactive thyroid which could cause you to lose weight at a much slower rate. If you do not mind the slow rate and can not eat around your sleeve then I think this surgery is what you should really look into. Keep us posted on your decision. -
Try this site maiden form I just googled shapewear and found different sites.

The urine sample would have been testing to see if you had an effective dosage in your system. Therapeutic drug monitoring is the term that should have been used by your PCP's office. Or another scenario could be to see if you are taking the medication. I think doctors are having to cover their butts due to some scammers out there and so everyone has to be tested to make sure they are validly prescribing the medication.

Weird reaction this morning
AutumnLily replied to Chicadee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I find my tummy is sensitive in the mornings. The other day I tried a sample Multivitamin and within 5 mins of taking it I had that saliva thing in the mouth that says everything is coming up. Got to the bathroom just in time. Now I am not sure if it was the multivitamin or if my sensitive stomach just did not want anything in it that early. Give it a couple of days and try again. See if your tummy does the same thing. -
I wonder if he is trying to use reverse psychology to keep his patients on track. You know say you can not do it and then they get mad and make sure they surpass his expectations to prove him wrong. Either way its not nice to say negative things when you have had great progress so far. Keep on doing what you have been doing and you will be at goal in no time.

So I told a white lie...
AutumnLily replied to imawhodat's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think in this case two wrongs did make a right. HR should know better to NOT ask you and you may also get a hernia repair. Nobodys business what is going on with you. -
How Easy Is It to Stretch The Sleeve?
AutumnLily replied to hotterndonutgrease's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some fish is not as dense as chicken or beef or pork. I can eat a fair size portion of Sole without feeling over stuffed. I can only eat 2-3 oz of dense Proteins like chicken and beef. Have not tried pork yet as it can be dry. I doubt you stretched your sleeve. I am sure the swelling has gone down and there is more room. -
LADIES ONLY....(Girl question)
AutumnLily replied to Purdy in Pink's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had mild cramping times and super severe cramping times (barrel me over and feeling all cold and sweaty from the pain). I carry pain killers around with me just in case I get a bad cramp again. -

PUTTING AN END TO MY UNHAPPINESS
AutumnLily replied to MrSharp24's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You can start walking pretty much right away but I would ask your doctor when they approve for you to start heavier exercise. I think you have to wait till your incisions heal before swimming and weights are, I think but do not quote me, 2 months out. Your doctor will know better. Congratulations on starting your journey! A big welcome to the group. -
Welcome to the group!

I dreamt about cheese mostly but did have a dream about eating carrots. It all subsided after a couple of weeks. Now I am pretty much able to eat what ever I want (really whatever sleevie wants).

Has anyone had their Dr's not support their WLS decision?
AutumnLily replied to ginajeans's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You will run into these non-believers from time to time. It is too bad that it had to be your doctor. I would personally try to brush it off and carry on. You will see her in a year and will probably knock her socks off when you do. Congratulations on starting your journey. -
I see a difference especially in your tummy. Congratulations on your 30 lb loss! Keep up the great work.

5 Days Post Op Issues
AutumnLily replied to Day Dreamer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Warm liquids for some soothe the tummy. I know that a warm cup of herbal tea or broth went down easier than cold Water. If I had cold water in the beginning I got hiccups and they were not the nice ones either. Try what Meggie said and set a timer and take a couple of sips every 15 mins. Eventually your swelling will go down and you will have a much better time with your fluids. Sending my best wishes on your swelling going down soon! -
i feel stupid! what is NSV?
AutumnLily replied to jennifer6791's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
NSV is a non scale victory Something that you achieved that does not have a number attached to it.
