    Vitamin D Deficient

Actually Vit D deficiency is starting to become an epidemic with everyone not just over weight people. Get your calcium citrate and sunshine and even eat fatty fish (like salmon). These should help you bring your levels back up.

    FEBRUARY ROLE CALL!!!

Dr Aceves 21 Feb 2011. The time is going so slow and yet so fast. If that makes any sense
  17. I would go to a doctor better to have it checked out.
  18. Vicki how many calories are you consuming? Sometimes you need to up your calories to jump start the body into loosing again. You may also be loosing at a slower rate than someone who needs to lose 100 lbs and up.
  19. Treadmill would be for a cardiac stress test where they attach the electrodes to you to check out your heart as it is being stressed (on a treadmill), and the regular run of the mill EKG is laying on a table with the electrods hooked up to you to see your heart functioning at rest I do not think they make you run on the treadmill unless you need to get your heart rate up higher for the test. This is only a guess as I am not sure which test the doctor has ordered for you. Hope this helps.

  22. Hi Sheila, You are getting your sleeve done in Red Deer? Did not know they offered WLS. Welcome to the group.

  23. Thank you Feedyoureye, Somedays I can express what I truly want to say in a logical way. Today was that day
  24. It is possible to lose the weight on your own! Everyone here has done it many a time. The problem lies in maintenence to keep the weight off. Trying to lose weight and being constantly hungry ( I have been there) gets to you and eventually you start to fall into your old eating habits (for me it is very large portions of food). The weight creeps back and I always end up adding more weight on. I need a tool that will help me curb the hunger and keep me from eating to such excess. I have the will power to eat only health food and to exercise. Its the control that I need and the sleeve is what will help me with my control. It is not about can't do it VS not willing to do it. It is about that hunger monster and the stretched out stomach constantly begging me for more food all the time. After awhile the monster and hunger win. With the sleeve I will at least have a fighting chance against them. So Yes I need the surgery! Everyone has to make the decision that is right for them. And if you are able to do it without WLS and keep it off I would say "Go for it!". Best of luck for whatever you decide.
  25. Why would you want to reverse and go back to your old ways? Plus the lap band is a foreign object that will eventually need to be replaced/removed (added cost down the road). I want to be thin for the rest of my life and the sleeve is the tool that will help me curb the over eating of food. Everyone has to do this for their own reasons. It is scary but I think worth it in the long run. A tool for life! That is what I want.
