    CAULIFLOWER PIZZA

There is no rice. You take the cauliflower and run it over a cheese grater to make small "riced" shaped cauliflower that you steam. It should read 3 cups of grated cauliflower. You will enjoy this!
  2. I am 5 weeks post op and sooo close to moving out of a 50 BMI! Only 0.3 Lbs to go.

  3. Stress can slow weightloss and I am sure your job has some stressors. Just keep on doing what you are doing and the stall will break.

    11 months anniversary

Congratulations!! 8 months and pretty much at goal.
  6. I traveled to Mexico from Canada all by myself. I am a very independent person so it did not bother me one bit to have anyone with me. Actually I did not tell anyone at home till I got home that I had the surgery. It was better this way. I would do it again the same way if I had a chance to do it all over again.
  7. I had a carry on that I made sure I could carry. The San Diego airport was really easy to navigate. When I got home my plane landed on the opposite side of the airport from customs it was a bit of a walk but I actually did fine. My carry on started to get heavy in the customs line up so I started to drag it. Guess it all depends on how you are feeling. I stayed an extra day in Mexicali (at the hotel) and it made a world of difference for me.

    Nectar Whey Protein Isolate

I liked them well except the green apple. I have never like green apple flavour so that was the disliking.Other than that one I liked all of the other flavours. I never tried the Isopure so I could not say if they are similar or not.

    Slow Loosing

I had the dreaded 3rd week stall. What got it going for me was I increased my calories for 3 days. Tricked my body into thinking it was out of the starvation mode. Note this worked for me and it may or may not work for you. This is only a suggestion.
  11. How exciting! Keep us posted on your progress.

    H-Pylori

80% of all people with H. pylori do not present with any symptoms. It is better to get it taken care of before surgery. Make sure you follow your doctors treatment to a T.

    Surgery date 04/25

I started taking the Vitamins almost 10 months before my surgery. So it didn't bother me. The Protein shakes are great when I need a boost of protien without many carbs. Just have to find ones that you like. I am odd and do not mind most of the samples that I ordered. Only had one that I found tasted like playdoh and I will make sure never to have that one again. For me post surgery I was sleepy for the first couple of days but I did get up and walk. I sipped on my fluids and loved warm ones. I was lethargic for the first couple of weeks until I was on full liquids. And then my energy started to perk up. Now that I am on mushies I have no problems needing a nap in the daytime. I have no hunger and I eat because I need to. I have not had any problems getting in my fluids or protein but that is not the case for everyone. My swelling went down faster than some others. Post op the first month sucks (I will not lie) but after that it gets better when you can move from liquids to more mushy food and I have just been experimenting with solids. So far my tummy likes turkey bacon. I am going to try sausages next and possibly ground meats. Hope this info helps.

    jello @ phase 1

Eat it as a solid. I like to mush it in my mouth and then swallow so that it is liquid for my tummy.

    Still Deciding and Scared!

First of all this is a major step you are going to take so you are NOT being a big baby. There is instances of depression and all I can say is you should discuss this matter with your doctor on how to treat the situation. I have heard several post sleevers (over 1 year out) that are able to eat anything within moderation. Now there may be some that can not eat a certain food or prefer to not eat certain things but it is as individual as how we are all individual. The inlaws thats a tricky one. I have heard some bad reactions and good reactions on here. Maybe you could test them out with something similar and see how they react. Just to get an idea. Complications can occur with any surgery. The sleeve surgery complications are lower than the RNY and lap band. I would suggest finding out how many surgeries your doc has done, what is their complication rate and what were the complications. Knowledge makes you feel more at ease. I slept like a log before surgery and after surgery. Some people felt the gas pains post op more than others but it goes away shortly. Just remember get up and walk as soon as you can to help move the gas out. Hope I have shared some information that is helpful for you. Welcome to the group. There is plenty of information on these boards. You will probably spend a lot of time checking out different things. I know I did when I found this site!

    I have the flu! Help!

Can you take something for the nausea? Have you tried warm liquids to see if they would calm your tummy? I would contact your doc and see what he/she says.

You are almost there! PBing sounds yucky! I am glad I found this site before I went through with the band. Hope you are feeling better and those 11 days will fly by in not time.
  24. I mix some mash potatoes in with my cottage cheese. Refried black Beans with cheese. Chili that is cooked really well and you can mush it down. I made a curry cauliflower and lentil Soup then put it in the mixer to puree it down. Have you checked out egg faces blog? She has some great ideas I will attach the link to her mushies page. The world according to Eggface I have no ideas what you could do with shrimp or crab. Maybe check out some cooking sites and remove the carby sides.
