How much Water are you getting in? Dehydration will cause a viscious cycle of nausea and then not wanting to drink. Have you tried to add an electrolyte drink to your daily water regime? If you need a private ear to chat with you can private message me and I will try to be of assistance even if it is just lending a sympathetic ear. Hope you find the answers you are looking for and are on your way to feeling better.

Obstacle 2: Sleeve Prices Vary
AutumnLily replied to SandSandles's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Shybaby do not take offense to my question I am just wanting to clarify what you said. Everyone should feel comfortable in their decision as to whom they chose as a doctor and you appear comfortable in yours. -

Did you really say you were one of eight on one day or was that over a couple of days? -
Day 25: I lost this whole post.
AutumnLily replied to crosswind's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Bitten by a vampire. Does that mean you are going to sparkle in the sunshine soon? I have to say I am 2 months out and forget that I had major surgery not too long ago. Well besides the restriction but when it comes to activities I sometimes over do it because of the afformentioned forgetting. -
Band Removed!!!...Sleeve Approved...but postponed!
AutumnLily replied to Yorkie Fan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I personally would take the trip and then have the surgery. If you still have not heard when your surgery will be in May and you are leaving in June you would need some recovery time. Plus toting around protien powders to make sure you get in your Protein in the beginning might be a pain in the tushy. Go have the trip and then come back and be ready for the surgery. Then you will know that you have had an good amount of healing time for your stomach, and you can start your journey in the comfort of your own home. You will get there even if it is a couple of weeks later. I also think what if you are travelling and you have a problem how would you deal with the overseas doctors? Hope this helps. -

12wk Pregnancy Appt Update- U/S and Bump Pics
AutumnLily replied to Tiffykins's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Sprout is adorable and you look so cute with your baby bump!!! Hope you get the acid under control. Cause I know how it sucks especially when you are trying to sleep. Does being in a more upright position help with the acid? Maybe putting a telephone book under your mattress at your head could raise it enough to help. -
Is. Dr. Aceves really THAT great?
AutumnLily replied to Roudoudou's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I think everyone has made the decision for whom they wanted to go see by one factor or multiple factors. Some go by price others by experience and others by the doctors personal complication rate. Price was my first factor in not having my sleeve surgery in Canada (cost upwards of 20,000 out of pocket Nooo thank you). After I narrowed my search down to Mexico I did my research on all of the doctors I hear good things about and for ME I went with the one whom had no leaks and many people raved about him. Ultimately you should make your decision on what you believe is best for you. I can say Dr Aceves is worth every penny you spend but it is still your decision on whom you want to perform the surgery. There are many talented surgeons out there as you can see by all the testimonies posted on the different sites. You will make the best decision for you. -
Odd NSV but I'll take it!
AutumnLily replied to Foxbins's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
OMG I just noticed that the other day and was thinking I must be crazy! I was trying to figure out how my seat got lower. Never thought it was my tushy that was smaller. Awesome NSV I must say. Now how to adjust my seat? Will I need a booster seat when I get to goal -

AutumnLily replied to NinaX's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is a new and wonderful relationship with food. Thank you for your update on your success and now onto maintenence. There is a section on VST where people who are at maintenence can post about their progress or struggles. You should check it out. -

AutumnLily replied to ybnormal's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 2 months out from having surgery with Dr Aceves and have not had any problems or needed to call my doctor. In the beginning I needed to sip sip sip but now that I am farther out I can take larger drinks of water. I was a big gulper of water before surgery and the mouthfuls that I take now are large I just can't down a whole litre in 5 mins. It will take me a little longer but not much maybe 15 mins. -

A little confused!!
AutumnLily replied to Strwberriekissesrbetter's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
This information I found in Prilosec side effects online. High doses and long-term use (1 year or longer) may increase the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures of the hip, wrist, or spine. Therefore, it is important to use the lowest doses and shortest duration of treatment necessary for the condition being treated. What is the dose your doctor prescibed? Maybe you need to try a different brand of PPI as it seems Prilosec is not covering you as well as it should. -
3 mos out, with pics!

Found out yesterday that I'm 5 weeks Pregnant
AutumnLily replied to mellifrits's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
As long as you are not in Ketosis and are taking prenatal Vitamins you should be fine. The baby will take their nourishment from you. Therefore it is your body that will suffer if you are not getting in enough calories. Check with Tiffykins as to a recommended caloric intake. I would assume 1200 to 1500 would be good. But then again I am not doctor. Check with your doc and see what they say. Oh and I should not forget Congratulations!!!! -
I think it has to do with nice smelling candles but I could be wrong.

Did you check on obesity help . com? Maybe you might find someone on this forum who is experiencing what you are if you feel comfortable to discuss it openly. I hope you find what you are looking for.

New girl needs moral support
AutumnLily replied to TheskinnyKristen's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You could use your tax refund or just keep on saving until you have enough money to pay. I was able to get a loan so if you can go that route then you can fast track your surgery. Hope you figure out your finances soon. -
Water, Water, Go Away!
AutumnLily replied to gotamakeachange's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What are you eating daily (carbs, protein, and water intake)? What is your daily exercise like. It helps sometimes to see what you are eating (maybe you have increased your salt?). This information will help others give you ideas as to what to do. -
Congratulations on losing 95lbs. You look amazing in your new photo!

Day 21. So apparently, that was food.
AutumnLily replied to crosswind's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The taste of food does come back to you. I think it has something to do with the anesthetic affecting the taste buds. I have had some foods that taste different still to this day but most of the food I eat now tastes like it did pre op. Welcome to solids! I find ground beef with taco seasoning pretty darn good Oh and dover sole is sooo yummm. Congratulations on the weight loss. You are making the most of your sleeve.
