I had surgery on July 28 and it went very well. The Dr called my family, husband, brother and sister, to tell them how it went and how well I was. That is three phone calls!!! I was treated like a princess. When they found out I was a medical professional they gave me a tour of the hospital, behind the scenes. I think my care was very personalized and safe. Besides all of technical stuff, I had a good time. Met some nice Americans and lot's of kind Mexicans. The Mexican Docs are kind of "old world", they want to make you comfortable and taken care of. I know Leo, I was thinking they might not fill a midband. I can't go at the two month mark. I might try a little early if I feel well enough and the Dr. checks me out and says it is ok.

I too have been guarded about telling anyone. There are people who do not feel safe to me. I want positive support. So I have told people who I know will be good about it. Except for my Mother, I did tell her. LOL. I think everyone will notice that I am dieting, so that will be good enough. This diet will end up working and that will be different. Try to get your support where you can. Like here! Susan

Hello everyone. I am just getting around to the intro. My name is Susan and I am 41 in a couple of days. I am getting banded on July 28th with dr. verboonen and dr. Ponce de leon, in Mexico. i am very excited. I am also very greatful to all of you in this internet community. The infromation and support has been great. I am married and have 3 kids. 21, 16 and 14.
