I have always been a heavy girl. During school I did every sport under the sun and I was normal sized but as soon as I went to university and beer replaced exercise I found I quickly doubled in size.
After trying every diet on the planet and failing I decided to get lap band to lose the weight. I wanted something that wasn’t going to be a quick fix and something that was going to help me for the rest of my life.
From friends who had already had the surgery I knew it wasn’t a walk in the park and you still had to work had to reach your end result.
I have never regretted getting the lap band done even though I fought a large amount of scrutiny for it and I am happy for the changes it has forced!
