    YES!! I am 4 days out and i feel 100 times better today. Gas is almost gone, it is actually finding a way out! It did hurt when I would swallow, I think it's all that trapped gas that can't get out. Just keep sipping, I meam SIP. I take tiny baby sips, just enough to coat my throat. I nurse that 30 ml cup for the full 15 minutes. That is what helped me. I am better now. Woke up this morning with no pian, haven't taken any pain meds today, moving a little quicker. You will get over your hump. It's only temporary.

    Ok, So I am 3 days post op and NOW I have all these worries. I had no questions or concerns pre-op but now I am freaking out a little!! So ..how easy is it to cause a leak in my new tummy? I sip, sip, sip all day because I don't want to get dehydrated, but I worry about causing a leak if I sip too much or eat jello or hiccup or burp too hard or cough or ANYTHING! How soft and sensitive is my tummy?

    My Dr says it is because the air will fill you aup, and you can stretch out your new tummy. I was planning on using them anyways!

    I have a drain. My surgery date was Mon Dec 5. I don't get the drain removed until Tues the 13!!!!! My surgeon instructed only sponge bathing while I have the drain. Not really felling it, but it is what it is.

    Ugh, 1 day post op. The gas is a B!@#$!! I am walking walking. It has gotten better, but it still hurts. How long before it is totally gone?

    Wear to the hospital what you want to go home in. BUT, remember, you WILL be swollen, so make sure it is nice and loose. I wore a loose shirt but my regular capri yoga pants, the pants were too snug to go around my tummy when I came home, I had to sag them a little! And bring some magazines, the wait before the surgery can be lengthy. Good Luck!

    I'm home! Thanks to everyone fro the well wishes! Surgery went great, gas pain is a little bit of a problem, but noting I can't handle. Up and walking. Taking it nice and slow. I am really happy and proud of my decision.

    24 hour pre-op for me. I have surgery on Monday. My surg tech told me 2 days clear liquid, but my surgeon told me that i could start it on Sunday. So that is what I will do. I ate light today (soups and sandwiches, had a couple cookies with the kids after decorating the tree) and will be ready for liquids tomorrow!

    I has my pre-op with my surgeon this morning. All is a GO for MONDAY!! I am sooo excited and SOOOO scared at the same time. I just want it to be DONE ALREADY!! I am not to worried abot the post op or anything t here after, it's just the surgery itself. I have never gone "under" and I am a little intimidated. Had my "last meal" with the DH at Pizza Rock tonight....I'M READY!! No looking back. BRING IT ON! :cheer2:

    Had my pre-op class today, got pre-registered at the hospital yesterday and my pre-op with my surgeon is tomorrow. I start my clear liquid diet on Saturday. Whew. Wow. I can't believe this is really going to happen! I am so anxious, nervous, excited, and scared all at the same time! DH and I will be going out for my "last meal" tomorrow night. wow. wow. This is it.....almost there!

    My surg date is Dec 5. I felt a cold coming on a few days ago, so I started using Zycam to try to nip it, but today my nose is starting to run and a little stuffy. I AM FREAKING OUT!! :incazzato: I don't want to reschedule. Anyone have the same problem?

    Feeling much better today. I loaded up on Vit C and Zinc and my cold lasted only 2 days! A little tickle in my throat causing me to cough, but at least it is a dry cough. Surgery in 7 days!! :ihih: I am anxious and want it done NOW! I don't want a stupid little cold to get in my way!
