This thread has been very helpful to me. I was banded on 9/6/11 and have lost 11 pounds post surgery. I am eating regular foods, just a lot less. I'm trying to listen to my new stomach to determine if I am full or hungry. I don't really feel hungry, but neither do I feel full. I guess it's the healing period. Can someone help me out by telling me what comes after the healing period (and how long does it last)? I guess I don't know really what to expect, and want to make sure things are working out the way I hoped they would. Thanks for your help. Maryann -
got my band yesterday. All went well. I feel like a truck ran over my midsection. OK, maybe not a truck, but certainly a minivan. My throat is very sore from the breathing tube, my belly stings just around the incisions and I still feel a bit loopy from the drugs. I am excited to start seeing some results!

Congrats! So glad your surgery went well. Mine is Tuesday morning Sept. 6 at 7 AM. -
I did all my pre op stuff today (including paying $$$) and have to be at the surgery site at 6:15 AM on Tuesday, Sept. 6 for 7 AM surgery. I am excited and nervous in equal parts!

Hi Violet! I am being banded on September 6 as well. I am in St. Marys, GA. I'm nervous and excited! I am also self pay $10,500. and hoping it will be worth every penny. Good luck to us both! Maryann
