How on earth will I ever be able to get in 64oz of water and 60gms of protein!?!? I had my surgery on 8/26. At this point I am handling 1/2 of a protein drink (15gms protein ) and small sips of water. Is There light at the end of the tunnel?

Your stomach will rupture? Like the line where they stapled it will get weak and break? I'm sorry for being negative, but this is the kind of thing that occupies my mind
-
Did you experience nausea? Seems I can't hold much down if I don't take my anti-nausea pills. Please share your experiences.

Night Sweats NOT caused by Menapause or Perimenapause
meggspeggs replied to MINI-Me's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have suffered from night sweats, except mine have been for treats. One leading cause is sleep apnea. Mine Are a result of polycystic ovarian syndrome. My hormones are constantly fluctuating. For the time being try the cool pajamas designed for us night sweaters. -

I am wondering how those of you with PCOS have done since your weight loss? I Have heard it really seems to do well after WLS. I lost a ton of hair from the PCOS. I am hoping to grow some back as the PCOS improves....

I'm scared that down the road they are going to find that gastric sleeving is dangers. Unlike the by pass it is not reversible. And now its too late. Please tell me others have felt like this...I had mine done 8/26/11

Blackberry are you a doctor? I think its great that you talked to your patient. It is very comforting knowing that a medical professional is supportive. -
What are you drinking your water out of???
meggspeggs replied to Sunny702's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm using the water jug from the hospital. It is nicely marked and has a straw or a flap that opens for sipping. Its working great. -
Anyone have tips on how to reduce hair loss?

Kala that is so funny that you mention an apocolyptic event. Same thing ran through my head!!! Lol:)

This is a great point. I am an RN so I know the physiological effect of water pills. Some take potassium with them as they flush out the water. This can cause serious cardiac issues. Accompanied with the stomach flu=no good! I'm glad you're doing better and thanks for sharing.

Good luck Amy!!!!

Pain is definitely under control. Procedure went well. Yes I am up and walking. Eating on the other hand hasn't been so good. I did great while I was in the hospital. When I got home I was barely able to keep water down. My Dr. Called in something for nausea, so hopefully it will improve. At this point I'm doing water and flat Ginger ale.
