Need Some Weight Loss Buddies!!!
Jennifer H replied to jersgirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I added you. I am not that great of a dietier either. I am trying, but of course I cheated this morning and ate donuts. -
Wow I can drink anywhere from 9 to 12 cups in a day. I have a 24 oz tervis cup and tend to fill it 3 to 4 times a day. I dont have a fill yet so I hope I am still able to drink just as much. I will have to remember not to gussle my drink though.
-
Are you just drinking water? I was told by my dietian that anything that is carbion free, sugar free and caffine free counts toward your water. I drink very little water, I mostly drink koolaid/crystal light or caffine free tea made with splenda. I have to really watch what I eat to make sure I get in all of my protein.

another good crustless pizza is you use a portabella mushroom for you crust and build from there with sauce, seasoning, and cheese.

Jennifer H replied to Sassy Pants's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My liquid diet consist of applesauce, puddings, yogurts, cream soups, jello, broth and protein shakes. I only have 3 stages to go through, 2 weeks of liquid, 2 weeks of mushy foods and the solids. My mushy foods even consist of some foods some people seem not to be allowed to have. Its so different for everyone what they are and arenot allowed to have for each stage. -

Lap Band Surgery Day Stories

I arrived to the hospital around 6:15am an was takin back with in just a few minutes. I changed into my lovely gown and was givin my iv. I was accually scared most about the iv, but they numbed my hand and got it the first stick, thank God. My stomach was preped with a cleaning towel. I was then gave my antiacid and then a nice coctail to relax me. It realaxed me enough that I fell asleep and was woke up at 8am when my doctor came in and asked if I was ready to go. When of course I was, but apparently they were not as they didnt have my patient history from his office and by law have to have it on file. They tried to get it faxed and ended up having the receptionist run over and get it. (my doctors office is connected to the hospital) I was finally wheeled into the OR at 820. They gave my the mask and meds and I was out in no time. I did not have to have a cathedar which was another fear of mine. I remember waking up in the recovery fagile around 1030. I was gave a pain killer and my iv was taking out. I was able to get dressed and headed home at about 1130. I am recoverying great. I only had to take the pain meds for the first 2 days and some at night here and there. I have lost 7more pounds. I had my first post op apt yesterday the 7th and I get my first adjustment on the 29th. -
I am another 7lbs down. I had my first postop apt yesterday and I get my first fill on the 29th!

I have this pain on my left side right below my ribs. There is not an insition there. I only have 2 insistions, one at my belly button and one right below my breast bone. I just assumed that my port was near my belly button, which is where I thougth that is where the doctor had told me it would be. It is the kind of pain you get when you've walked and didnt stretch proberly. that almost like a muscle cramp type pain. I am 6 days post op and feeling pretty good other than this pain. I have a follow up apt on Wednesday morning.
