How long did you wait to "seal the deal" post surgery? My hubby thinks im not ready but.....im pretty sure I AM lol

So im 7 weeks tomorrow and am only at 32 pounds!! What is the matter?!?! I couldn't lose on weight watchers, atkins, cal counting...idk why i felt this would be different. Has anyone else had this problem? I haven't lost 1 pound in 2 weeks!

From a girl with lots of guy friends they will support you and their jokes are bc they have to be macho plus now they can drink your share of the beer when you can't and dont forget bringing new girls around if your single post surgery...all a win/win for them Ladies its just like moms vs dads...a child falls down mom runs to comfort dad says get up and keep going goof ball (pending seriousness) its how they cope just like how we cope. Overall funny post & im sure your buddies got your back otherwise they wouldn't be watching football with you anyways!

At 7 weeks its like surgery never happened!! Woot woot!!

I am proud of myself and i just updated my ticker its 35 pounds!! 35 pounds is great, i think when i look at the grand scheme of things is when i get down...so from now in baby goals...19 to go and then im going to buy a new super sassy purse!! Haha

I want to lose 119 more pounds, i see that number and feel like ill never get there! Maybe i need more than protein is what im reading! I shall try again

Hurt like hell.....a few days hurt like heck a few days after that hurt a few days after that uncomfy a few days like that. The 24-48 are without a doubt the worst **hang tough**

I think im so scared to fail (im doing everything per dr orders) but i see everyone losing 20+ in their first week and i think darn im getting protein & water and if any rooms left food...and am barely losing. I am going to search stall and see what i can find. Just feeling discouraged

After 1 week you will stop craving it i watched cooking shows and bought taste of home mags and i was good reading recipes etc...my friends said i was crazy but it was how i dealt with it!

Chad2rad - i had the same thing started with water and then it was nearly everything i drank by week 3. I ended up in hosp at week 3.5 with several issues dehydration being 1 of them. I was there for 5 days but dr said he thought maybe i had inflamation & gave me iv muscle relaxers for 2 days and then within a week i was actually able to take a big drink of the h2o and get that ahhhhh feeling dont give up keep trying and eventually it should get better. If you notice other symptoms call your dr - Hang in there!

So i had surgery 3 weeks & 3 days ago. A week.after surgery i got an incision site infection - went to the dr and have been packing it ever since. It started stinking horribly, i could smell it through mt bandages & clothes! Went to dr and he cleaned it out and then i learned it is now about 1/4 deeper. No antibiotics. I have been tired & weak but not terrible. Fast forward to Wednesday - started back to work - really lost track of Fluid intake and before i realized it was 9pm and i only had 6oz of liquid. Things progressively went down hill. My side was hurting, having a hard time taking in a deep breath (thought it was gas), started getting really weak and nauseated and the thought of drinking anything sent me into gag mode. By friday i could barely move and after my shower i was shaking and very light headed. Ended up getting so cold i was wrapped in 6 blankets and i was still shaking! Just knew from there a trip to the er was coming. So went to er - found i was dehydrated, had a fever, AND now have an.infection near my spleen. I still am having a hard time drinking and still have fever and overall not feeling well. Dr prescribed me zofran & antibiotic. Has anyone had this?

Oh and have to get adfitional tests done besides the CT Scan ladt night - dr thinks i will be needing ANOTHER surgery!

Wolfgirl i know we talked about this briefly before. Hang on there! Your son will adjust and life will become less crazy. Is there any hope for reconciliation between you & your hubby? Would he be willing to get help? As far as the parasite, did they say how you got it? I hope you start feeling better quickly! Keep your chin up!!
