Danielle McGrew also known as “Poetic Pride" was born and raised in the Bronx New York City area, where she still resides. Danielle has a passion for poetry that began when she was just old enough to read and write. As a young child poetry rapidly became her main source of expression. She gained much inspiration reading the works of great poets such as Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Edgar Allen Poe and Robert Frost amongst others. At age 11 she produced her first collection of poetry in amateur book form entitled “The Unofficial Voice Of Mind”. She is currently working on her official debut Collection of poetry entitled “Squeezing Lemons” which will play a key role in her lyrical journey.

I decided to persue a vsg because I was tired of failing to lose weight the " Natural Way". I decided to take a risk and try something new. I had never been hospitalized in my life but the Lenox Hill Hospital staff made my stay more than comfortable.
